And Denmark too hopefully ;-) - And then we shall form a loser type of sensible North Sea union with the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Iceland - and maybe a couple more? - , which respects the individual cultures and nations unlike this oppressive EU dictature - and where all the other members than the UK also speak reasonably good English, because of our many shared linguistic roots and think along similar lines, because we are on the same mental wavelengths in many questions and values and in our conception of laws and the democratic processes. Hav en god dag [daygh], alle mine Nordsø-frænder ;-)

brexit is happening no matter what the Oxford union thinks. Daniel hannan has done wonders for vote leave. younger voters and big business who are well off will obviously on the whole be voting to remain as they have their own short term opportunities and profits in mind. They are not looking at the benefit for the country as a whole. the working class are split and the over 55s will overwhelmingly support brexit. I just can't see the remain side pulling in the amount of voters to the polls that the leave side will. all the ukip votes from the last general plus half the Tories votes plus even just a quarter of the labour votes and the leave campaign will run away with it. That was a year ago before this debate had really begun. then when we look at how ukip did in the European elections two years ago and we can see the brexit side of the argument is making a more appealing case which makes people go to the polling stations.

The destruction of EU funded temp. housing in occupied territory for Palestinians who's homes were razed Illegaly by the IDF ? The Rothschild banking etc. in Britain being beholden to the EU in any way? They want to take their Toys/$$$ and be buffered from accountability . Period.

having watched a lot of OU debates it is dismaying to hear the input from students. They are so inexperienced and I'll informed yet have intransigent views. The Islam debate was particularly egregious. Nevertheless the debates are invariably interesting. Hannan is an excellent debater. Contrast him with the loud mouthed thesaurus swallowing student who asked a question about three quarters of the way through. So adamant yet no experience of life.

So this dude begins his speech by saying that one should not make decisions based on emotions and then goes on a 10-minute rant that is dripping from pathos about heroic ww2 tales and some vague romantic notions about national heritage, let alone bringing up how much he cares about his unborn child...none of this has anything to do with objective data and the speech was clearly designed to win emotional points with the audience...i know daniel hannan can do better, but this performance was simply abysmal
