Just had a look at the gift basket offerings; saw a set of 5 molten brown bubble bath, surely that's re selling? Also saw afternoon tea, scones etc, mmm stale food 😂

The curated gift basket thing is going to explode on Etsy. There are already 1000s of snack gift basket listings. One store with over 10,000 orders. Yikes.

On the bright, maybe they'll stop it with all the POD and digital downloads. Gift baskets are nowhere near my space 😂

I know this isn't "a gift box" but wouldn't grab bags misc. stickers or oops sticker bags be considered a mystery box unless you photographed all the contents inside each bag?

Ugh...Try going in and editing it, but there are mistakes being made that etsy needs to figure out. Post about this in the Etsy seller forums in the Technical issues section so that they know about it.

I handpick my vintage items. Regarding the first photo, you mentioned in another video that the first photo has to show what the customer is buying. I sometimes use a photo with the text “reserved” as the first photo when I reserve an item for a specific customer. The next photos show what the item is. Is that a problem? Thank for explaining everything for us.

If it’s essentially a private listing then i think that’s fine. Nobody will be browsing to buy it and the person who it’s for will know what it is.

Yeah, the gift basket thing is going to ridiculous. Wouldn't selling branded items be IP infringement??

That’s a separate issue. You can’t use brand names to advertise things and I’d assume that if the companies came after you for trademark infringement you could get a claim filed. But technically you can put those things in gift baskets.

They have also taken adult items off the approved list, though I don’t see it listed here. I saw it somewhere else earlier today.

They know they're getting an Advent calendar, though. You'd probably want to say whether they're getting candy or something else but I don't think you have to get that specific.

As a buyer, I would want to see the items included in the advent calendar, especially if I meant it to be a gift for someone. The seller would take photos of groups of items before putting them in the calendar. It would still be a surprise not knowing which day each item is in.

I alread had mine for today.

I see that some poor reviews from 2016 2018 still figure in ranking. Don’t low rating reviews ever leave!!! Like- I love it - but the color was off -and I got lots of compliments but wish the heel was not so wide!! 2016 or 2018 7 years ago!!!!

Will handpicked be required in titles with vintage - handpicked just sounds junky imo I have been feeling for a while that Etsy wants to eliminate vintage as it may seem to have a smaller more specific audience . Have been happy about saving great vintage items researching them and sending them carefully packaged to new scenes. Have lots of info on vintage items gathered - handpicked has no luster.
