@@SimRacingLife Just a thought but what do I know DUH :-) I've watched literally 100's if not 1000's of ets2 and ats videos and have never come across your channel. Probably the "Racing" in your title threw me off. You deserve more exposure and subs with the quirky (that's a good thing it makes you stand out I think) and the clear quality of your work. Did you ever consider another sister channel focusing on ETS2 and ATS? One last question would there be a way or is there an addon in a similar style to the GPS you added to the tablet to have a radio skin for say, an old mobile that could be utilized for radio channels. That would look well, i think...... Anyhow thanks again.

@@silverpuma7386 At the moment its not something i have time for as i have a full time job that takes around 60 hours per week, plus i have a band who will be releasing material later this year so I've got many hours in the studio, so for now it's kind of got to stay on one channel. However if the channel really took off and it was viable to quit my job then oh yes i do believe i would consider it, in the meantime I'm happy just doing my thing and helping other where i can with all the various Racing/Driving Simulators. Thank you though for the very kind and inspirational words and thoughts, that really does mean a lot. (",) I've been looking for something similar with the radio but alas i've not seen or heard of anything like that. the moment i do though you can rest assure i'll be doing a video on it.

Just stumbled via Twitter on this mod for ETS2. I just love it. Now i can use my second screen to display extra info. Thanks for the simple explanation and guidance. One little thing ... just missing the gps red line for your route on the navigation screen. This would be awesome to have.

Sorry for the late reply, I'm not 100% sure as I've never tried it but in theory as long as both your pc and whatever device you are viewing it on are tied to the same network then it should be ok.

I can't believe it took me that long to find this video!! it is great thank you!. Did anyone figure out how to activate the turn by turn navigation? for now the map with GPS location are basically useless so i use this method to display my dashboard on my ipad below the screen which is nice but i would like to use this to display my GPS turn by turn too

Unfortunately SCS doesn't transmit the telemetry data needed for the route planner. So at this time we can only have working maps. Anyhow i'm glad you found this video helpful. (",)

What a great video !! I tried to read a lot of comments to see if you've already answered this question but.. I didn't find it !! I do exactly like you did and it works almost perfectly !!! My speed, gears, weight, job income etc !! The only thing is the map.. I play ATS no map mods.. I see the name of the cities but I didn't see the yellow line to see the streets. You have an idea of what I'm ain't doing it right ?

do you know on my iPad when I put in the HTML5 URL is doesn't work? is there a setting that could be stopping it from loading? When I open it up on my actual computer, it fine but it just won’t open on my iPad.

@@SimRacingLife You're welcome in this case doesnt work. The correct way to say "You'r welcome" after "thanks" in spanish is (depending on the country) "de nada" or "a la orden" etc. For example: Man 1: Gracias!!! Man 2 answers: "De nada" or "A la orden". ;D

Why ur voice so calming

This is the best tutorial for this particular software that I have found and after trying a few different options (Simhub is awful) this is the best for a secondary monitor that I'm aware of (I just wish that SIM dashboard had the option to do this as I have already paid for pro version and I love all the available customisation options. Just one question though since we have similar computer hardware configs... Do you notice any frame rate drops say about once every second or two at high speeds in ETS2 because I thought it might have been the projectNG and natural lux mods at first but after deactivating them I still have issues. I would overclock my CPU to 5ghz to see if that helps but I don't wanna risk causing hardware failures for it to potentially not even help especially when I have hardly used the PC in the 3 years I have owned it

Hi sorry for the late reply, i've been away on business. Anyhow to answer your question no i'm not getting any frame drops like you mention. however i did have this when i ran other mods a while back, not sure of the names of them but they were traffic related. Overclocking is something to consider but if you are not confident in doing so then i would avoid. but just know this, both ETS2 and ATS are quite CPU intensive. hope that helps a little.

@@SimRacingLife Hi, thanks for the reply. I've managed to get to the bottom of it. For some reason in the past I had locked my FPS to 59 in Nvidia control but I usually do that through GPU tweak so I had only been looking there. I had only noticed since I changed monitors and that was about the time I posted the comment so it was still a new problem I just wanted someone's opinion on it. I have already overclocked it now too and it took me 2 days to get it exactly as I wanted (endless reboots and voltage changes) so I'm not reverting my settings back from that lol. I don't know what I was worrying about now 😁 just breaking the 2ghz barrier on the strix 1080 and 5ghz on the CPU with a 105 BCLK... It feels like a new machine. Thanks once again though

is there a way to have another camera view going on on a different telemetry monitor? So when I'm editing i can change to the outside view to show people what's going on in post.

Brand new to ATS; bear with me...lol. OK, you mention putting this on another screen. When I load up ATS it is on my main monitor and the mouse will not move off that screen to either of my other two screens. I saw full screen in options and checked/unchecked with no apparent differences. So; if you put this on another screen; you relegated to using key presses to activate functions? I'm going the iPad route but was curious...makes it a pain to start and stop display recorder since mouse won't move. THANKS! Dave

Great job with the eplanationof this. Only Thing is that the maps are not up to date with the current dlc’s, specialy promods.

Third party maps are not really supported, pro mods has not been updated in quite some time, it mentions map support on the skins website. All vanilla DLC maps should be ok though, unless they conflict with the pro mods add-on.

hi, I only have ATS. can I still use the mobile route advisor? I ask as when following your steps up to time 4:59 you say you can cancel if we don't have this (ETS2) and go to the next step, what is the next step? How can we do this with only ATS?

Am I doing something wrong the navigation line {red Line} doesnt show up on the trip advisor

Yes it's fine. This isn't really a mod par say, as its hard built within the software. So therefore it'll work with any mod.

how do you connect the PC and IPAD to use this? I followed your instructions.

Any idea why the turn by turn directions doesn’t work using telemetry? It’s shows up in the game gps but not on the telemetry side.

Sorry for the late reply, unfortunately until SCS transmits the GPS path with the rest of the telemetry data we are without it, until then its just a working map with your GPS position.

Thanks for this helpful tutorial. Just one question left: is it possible that it shows my way point as well? now i only see my live location on the map.

Unfortunately the route advisor does not work as SCS development team need to allow it to be transmitted with the rest of the telemetry data. Until such times we only have what is available. Our hopes is that one day they will.

The game at present does not support GPS routes, only GPS position on the map. If you can't see the Map dashboard it's likely you've somehow installed it incorrectly. my advice would be to start again.

Hello tks so much for the vídeo ❤️. I have one problem tho.. Everything seems to work fine except the blue arrow on the gps. The blue arrow appear on the side instead of appearing centered With the road. Any Tips to solve this? I have ets2 on steam no dlcs yet and some steam workshop mods(only comestic no maps mods) . Hi, I installed ETS2 1st like in the video and when I try and install ATS it goes right to the Telemetry server running window and I can't install on ATS now. Bummer as I play / stream ATS Way more than ETS2. Any Thoughts?

At present you have to run the server app, however it may be possible to automatically load the server by way of some scripted batch file, if you have the knowledge and time (",)

Is it possible, to see official dlc maps in it as well? I only get the base map to show.

Both the PC and device you are using must be connected to the same network. I have my PC hard wired via an ethernet cable but use wifi to connect the other devices i use such as phone or tablets. hope that help (",)

You can already use the map, but it only gives GPS position, not the route. plus it has the other function screens such as call for help etc.

Not working on my iPhone 13 pro max, i can't see my KPH or something like this, when i connect to the "ip" i only get a little box.

I need help I do just as the video states but for some reason when I load up ets on the phone it displays: “connecting to server” and I don’t know why I need help pls

I’ve installed everything and placed into the correct folder as shown on your video, but every time I open the telemetry app URL it shows all of the default skins but the mobile route advisor is greyed out. When I click on it I’m presented with a pop up message that says “Failed to load dashboard.html for skin: ets2-mobile-route-advisor”. Again I have followed your directions but still no luck even after deleting it all and re-installing both programs again. Any help?

SimRacing Life No worries buddy hope you have a fast recovery. Yeah all of the other skins work fine I haven’t tried it again since but might have a go and see what happens. Like I said the Route Advisor shows up but it’s a blank image unlike the other skins so it doesn’t get recognized for some reason just don’t know what.

I have a problem. With the telemetry I see that ATS is running. When I start ets I see that too. But the difference is that with ets I can look at the map on my mobile phone and computer but not with ats. What could be the reason for this? I've already deleted everything and reinstalled it, but it doesn't work

So sorry for the late reply. Are you running any third party map mods. As they both only work with SCS maps. ? Apart from that i'm not entirely sure. do you get the other pages to display in that skin ?

Are you talking about your GPS route ? if so unfortunately SCS software don't transmit that telemetry data at present within the 2 games. However the moment they do this software should display it like it does everything else. so we have to wait for that day and we are at the mercy of SCS software. I doubt its high on their list though as its a third party app.

@@georgejoanethis5108 No this is the only one available at present, but even if there was another app it still wouldn't show a GPS route as the main games don't transmit that data with the rest, like map position and speed etc. the day SCS software allows this to be transmitted will be a happy day for us all (",)
