It would be great if the developers works more on truck damage like adding engine parts wear, oil changes and more tuck wear and the ability to buy used trucka for a lower price

This is something I really want. And a feature could be (doesn’t necessarily need to be with just used trucks) that once you’ve driven for long enough and put enough wear on the engine, once you try to repair the truck it can’t be repaired back to 0% but instead it has some permanent wear and eventually you can’t drive it at all except if you change the engine

How can I update my euro truck simulator 2 from 1.38 to 1.48

My dad was a trucker for most of his life, he doesn't know life any other way, now he's 67 and can't drive a real truck anymore. I hope I can make enough money soon enough to build him a real nice rig so he can play this from time to time.

Both ets and ats need a traffic density slider from default. The cities, especially on ATS are ghost towns. With the traffic mods I’ve tried they are unrealistic because they cause huge traffic jams in the middle of the desert where there should be low traffic levels. But that mod was a few years ago now. New ones might be better

my friend uses brutal traffic which causes a traffic jam everywhere 24/7, but Realistic traffic adapts to the in-game time

I am on ets 2. Just started playing again after seeing how much development there has been in mods in the last 2-3 years. The new traffic mod I got is just perfect. FPS doesn't even flinch. And sure got some more leads from this video

Thank you for the advertisement for my mod "Real Fuel Prices" I updated it on May 14 and it is now automatically backwards compatible with older versions of the game. I take this opportunity to say that it is also available for ATS.

I feel like alot of the mods should be included in the default game, and then rework on the terrains like SCS are doing now. I feel like they are going in the wrong direction. But maybe they have their own plans for small details like these. I really hope that they will consider it.

I think the goal is to make the community alive, imagine a game with already everything in it, community don't need to react.. in other word, ETS have a base but community complete it :)

@@galixou585 that is indeed their goal. Look at where they are now compared to when ets2 or even ets1 started! They cant use real companies but they knew from the beginning of the mods system that people will do that for them without them having the legal deals etc. They just build the base and they want their community to make it perfect for their own use

@@kai325d3 Which they don’t really do anymore, I know developing takes time, but a weekly report would help. (Like what DCS world does). It seems like they’re just living on their past success, eating cakes and doing team building exercises nowadays.

So many nice mods 😍 I haven't been playing the game since a while, and I was not playing with mods. But at least some of these look crucial to me, now. Immersive symbols is especially really interesting, even though it makes it look like you shouldn't hit the cones at difficult drop-off points.

perfect video, I'll probably download all the mods you showed here, except for the first one with cracked glass 😅. This in turn will be a modeled ETS ❤

I usually hate the music in these types vids but these tunes are absolutely bangin

Interesting video, it covers almost everything. Except for two things, which in my opinion are very important... ProMods and other assorted map mods and Reinhard's "Find Your Trailer" and "Sewer" mods. I always felt that these two mods are basically one in two zip files, because the "Sewer" mod replaces those gawd awful bouncing green things, such as you would see when you buy gas, garages, repair your truck, and the "Find Your Trailer" mod gets rid of the little tornado above the place where you're supposed to park your trailer, and it would fit in the "Sewer" mod like a glove. These mods are just as important as the ones listed in the video, and more so in some ways.

It would be really nice to see a tacho mod, or maybe SCS can actually make it included in some update or DLC. To get that real feeling, getting tickets for driving over drive time etc. Brutal traffic mod sounds great, but it would be a real treat to enjoy some STAUS 😂

All the mods look amazing im gonna have to get them all not the cracked windscreen one tho not for me i dont think many trucks drive around with big cracks and chips in the windscreen but the rest will make the game look epic !

YES EXACTLY!! This is my biggest complant! Every road feels like it was paved the night before. You can just hold the wheel straight and not have to worry about correcting it aside for a turn. In real life you have to make constant microcorrections to keep going straight. It's subtle but you really notice when it's not there and it feels off.

Great list. I just tried ETS2 for the first time in a very long time. And many of the issues I observed in the first minutes are addressed by these mods. E.g. overly clean vehicles, lack of traffic, road blocks and closures etc.

ETS2 now includes events like road blocks and closures. You can set their frequency in the settings

In ETS 3 would be cool to put a bit more focus on truck maintenance. For example tire wear which affects handling, especially on wet, regular service otherwise your truck will throw errors and use more fuel etc. And yes, like 'dirty' mods, but make it dynamic so that you have to clean your truck here and there ^^

These Mods are really nice but can you show how to set them all in your mod menu in ETS? because now sometimes there stands twice that it needs to be at the highst rank. But still a nice video and keep up the great work!

The most important probably for me that I didn't see in this list is Navigation sounds/voices. Love the hear them on ATS but had to have mods for ETS.

Yk in the default game, if you press f4 you can get menus to change the seats position and change the mirrors position.

I don't know if developers added this already but when i played a year ago, my biggest concern was that road signs at night were so dark (they weren't reflecting truck lights) and also that ai traffic lights were so weak. So I would also add some mod for reflective road signs and better AI traffic lights. This was my 2 of primary mods i added for ETS (For me driving in night without this reflective signs was almost impossible).

I would love some dynamic versions of dirty trucks,trailers and scratched windshields. So over time as you been on the road the truck slowly gets dirty and the windsheild cracks randomly. then just add the ability to stop and was your car for the cost of time and maybe a little money for cleaning supplies. hell just adding regular maintence would be cool (fluid changes, brakes, tires, etc.)

@@automation7295 Yes of course you do, someone puts in hundreds of hours creating, coding, and modeling, and everyone should have it for free. If a creator wants to make a buck off work he or she does for our entertainment then more power to them. the beauty about it is that no one is forcing you to buy it.

Amazing mods.

I think the worst in ETS2 is sound, especially engine sound. The best engine sound is in my opinion on scania S, other brands sound awful. It's sad, that mods for simulator game are often better than the original game. I hate darkness on the front corners of the truck. When an accident, make sure the damage is severe depending on how the violation is. Including the driver's injury as well as suffering a loss of money to finance truck damage and hospital treatment. Don't forget to give leave to the driver who was put in the ward and the work he took was burnt. Indirectly in this way, every driver will be more careful not to accident badly.

Just wanted to see which Mods I could install next and then seeing not only my “hometown“ Kassel in the „realistic signs mod“ but my actual small hometown as well 😮

the true mirror one is just a perspective change which you can do by just adjusting your mirrors in game same for the true camera mod just adjust your seat and view its literally an entire section in the pause menu like half of these you can just change with default settings the event one we already have that like do people not look at settings anymore before making a mod

The true mirror mod changes the FOV (field of view) of the mirrors. This affects how close things appear in the mirrors and cannot be replicated by simply adjusting the mirrors in-game.

SCS: Let's make a Realistic Game. Also SCS: Prioritizes DLC over a Realistic Game. Modders: Fine, we'll do it ourself.

@@MotoRide. Still, they still have so much stuff to fix with their current game. While yes, SCS takes there time to perfect the DLC's, i'd rather them fix their base game first. 1: Old map areas need a revamp. Belgium, Netherlands, Going East, Scandinavia, UK. 2: There are plenty of mods Toast has showcased that makes the game the way SCS intended. Yet, the company doesn't want to use those. 3: I'm sure there are a lot of suggestions that can be listed that are good enough to enhance the game. These things take time and SCS is running out of expansion room map wise.

It's as if I'm watching the trailer for the new version of Euro Truck Simulator 2 😄🤤

Since this is about realism - do you get stopped by the police for driving with such a dangerously damaged windshield? 🤔

You do not need mods for the mirrors, camera or the "realistic" physics. Those things can be adjusted ingame. Also the realistic signs are kinda gamebreaking since the default signs do tell you which road does exist and which does not.
