It was widely used those days in connection with Rabindra Nath Thakur and hence the phrase derived. Pinne, the one in connection with Thakur is Rabindra Sangeeth. Here in Kerala, right from the times Raveendran Master made his sway into the Malayalam music world, his music has been referred to as Raveendra Sangeetham...... Pinne, Rabindra Nath Thakur എവിടെ Raveendran Master എവിടെ എന്ന് താങ്കൾ പറഞ്ഞത് - രണ്ട് വ്യത്യസ്ഥ കാല ഘട്ടത്തിൽ, രണ്ട് different geographical milieu ിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന രണ്ട് വ്യക്തികളെ എങ്ങിനെയാണാവോ compare ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുക? One was a poet and philosopher, the other was a celestial musician. One lived during the independence era while the other lived in modern times. One lived in Eastern India while the other lived in Southern India. Many more points to differentiate..... This is like Ilayaraja's claim that whatever compositions he made should not be used without his permission and without paying him royalty. Ilayaraja was given appropriate slam by the honourable madras high court.... What Ilayaraja does is using the swaras and ragas invented by masters of music... and he says that he is the sole owner of his music..... Likewise, what Ravindran used to do is to use the Swaras and Ragas composed long back by masters...... But Rabindra Sangeetam was Tagore's own creation as fas as i understood.. Bro... So Raveendran is no match to Tagore.... You can use the term "Raveendra Sangeetam" if Raveendran had created a new genre of music... 🙏🏽

@@josepd8426 in that case not a single composer has original music. Let's leave aside the ones who mix n match randomly today..... Am referring to the maestros. None of the maestros have produced original music, going by your explanation. They have all taken swaras and ragas and made compositions based on those...... And Rabindranath Thakur is no exception. His songs are heavily steeped in Hindustani and Bangla folk tunes .... Going by your explanation, there isn't anything original in that either.......
