As he voraciously ascends the ranks of the German techno world, Hamburg-based wunderkind Etnik readies his latest EP, Neon Daze, to be released on November 19th via OWSLA (worldwide, excluding Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Poland) and Bitclap! (throughout Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Poland). Etnik has distanced himself from the pack with an electronic elegance that buzzes and bleeps, while affecting simplicity and innovation. This elegant techno is sophisticatedly highlighted on songs like "Neon Daze" and "Vault, which offer pleasant and unassuming beats that suddenly plunge and pulse into heart racing thumps. The vocals on "Boaws" gleam with a sense minimal atmospheric beauty. Etnik impresses with a collection of concentrated beats and homemade sawtooth synths which always relay a charming analogue fragility and, most importantly, soul.
