My cousin was a commercial pilot and it is a career that takes over your life. Complete physicals, training, tests and flight simulations every 6 months. Bidding for blocks of flight times, the right frame of mind, dealing with the physical toll on your body and balancing family life. All pilots deserve respect and these ladies are fine representatives of the profession!

@@icthys2024 Believe me, it’s not about money, it’s impossible to imitate really love for aviation, just like the pleasure of driving a huge airliner, which is the A-380 from Airbus. Sophie and Shayma are magnificent and very neat romantic pilots - this can be seen even from such a short video. I will not share them, but I sincerely wish Shaima to become the captain of the ship for my next viewing! Good luck girls! You are simply adorable!

I flew from Toronto to Paris then to Kinshasa, 13 hours flight and I experienced some crazy turbulences where I felt the plane dropped a bit lol, I started praying and saying that God please I left my kids back in Canada lol.

I keep watching this particular video but never get enough of it. These young pilots possess a tremendous amount of confidence as any veteran pilot ever did.

After 22 years in the air force, the Airbus A380 is the most modern cockpit I've ever seen. I knew they were switching from yoke to side stick controller. What I didn't expect was pull out keypad and multiple video screens that show everything including external cameras and airport ground maps. Cuts out having all that paperwork trying to find airport taxi maps. Funny thing is I understand what Abu Dhabi Ground is saying. Even the guy running the tug... I am very impressed as to the beauty of the pilot and her great intelligence. It's easy to think women in that side of the world still aren't allowed to drive or go to school. Oh yeah, the Airbus A380 is the largest commercial aircraft which since this video, has been retired by most airlines because of efficiency. And this aircraft is run with such a small cockpit!

Can't drive or go to school. sure about that? looks like these girls are doing a mighty fine job of driving and I'm quite certain they went to school to learn how to fly one of these monsters as well. I think some companies are bringing their A380's out of mothballs as well.. but yeah the new twin turbofans are a lot more efficient. Shaima is not only smart she's gorgeous as well.

500+ tons controlled by the tip of fingers. What a ingennering marvel, and what a nice job these pilots have !

This is a whole new perspective on when you fly around the world. I think everybody that takes these kinds of trips should know the professionalism of the crew. It is remarkable more women are flying you from one point to another with precision. These people are top notch professionals. And they don't get paid enough.

@scrub44 OH, so please tell me how caked on makeup helps to fly the plane or fight fires or shoot a gun. My wife of 37 years never wore makeup because it did nothing to help her with house work or wash clothes or run the vacuum. Put a bag over their head and they can still fly the plan just as well. As I said, there are plenty of old ugly fat men pilots who fly planes just as good if not better. Makeup does nothing to fly the plane but looking fake clown makeup for the camera. It's fake. It's not reality. Why would you want to go ga ga over someone with clown makeup? it is scary to think what they really look like without. Your just a young bozo who is fooled by makeup. 🤣

I'm male, but I think these types of videos should be shown to young girls everywhere, as they would be inspired and shown that gender is absolutely not a barrier to achieving anything!

Man oh man, I just love seeing women as pilots especially commanding such a massive airliner like the A380. They deserve all the respect in the world for being part of an old tradition that has moved into the 20th century. Keep it up ladies!❤

I love this lady. As good as any guy who can fly the big stuff. She's very sharp, very observant, no communication problems on the radio, no language barriers. What can't she do? I haven't seen anything yet!

Absolutely love the connection to the first female balloonist with Sophie's name! It's inspiring to witness these two individuals working seamlessly together, breaking down barriers in their own unique way. On a side note, if I ever in a rush and need convenient parking, I'll be consider trying out Express Parking! because it's a great idea to save time and pocket budget.

These pilots and the whole crew are so impressive. I admire their ability to take command of these giant aircraft.

You make it look sooooo easy. I have a flightsim and find it really interesting. I noticed on take off, your eyes were fixed on the Attitude Indicator which I don't do as I'm busy looking out of the window. But now I know how it's done, I'll be doing that in future. Excellent video. 👍👍

I just loved her focus on the instruments during takeoff sequence. She would have not flinched even if sun went down unscheduled.

She is 35 years old.

I got to fly on an Etihad Airbus A380 a few years ago, probably the only chance I'll get. What a fantastic plane, operated by a fantastic airline. Love this video.

What Amazing control this lady has after rotation to autopilot. 👏 Incredible.

Having pushed and towed these aircraft it's great to view the cockpit procedures and where we fit in.

Fui Comissária por 10 anos, e continuo apaixonada por aviões!! Essas profissionais são um orgulho para nós todas mulheres capazes em outras áreas profissionais. Eu adorava decolar ou pousar na cabine de comando, quando o Comandante convidava, é uma delícia sentir o avião sendo comandado pelos profissionais pilotos. Uma profissão inesquecível ter sido Comissária!

I worked as a flight simulator tech for Etihad and regularly flying their A380 sim on this exact runway 31L OMAA. Seeing these footages irl amazed me.

There is nothing special about it. Being a pilot is not a labour intensive job and many institutions give funding for women.

@@floramsangi874 it would be a real change if I start seeing women taxi and bus drivers as well.

Such skill and calmness. I can think of no higher compliment to pay than say that I'd feel privileged to have such great pilots. There is something in the DNA of pilots. A serenity that I'm not sure everybody possessess. Fascinating to observe.
