I support restorative justice, but under the rules of the current system the sentence was probably fair. Haseeb saying that "crypto is just crazy" feels like blaming the victim.

Sounds a lot like what crypto was supposed to escape. Are we trying to create traditional central reserve banks?

I'll say it again. If you guys really want to improve society it is magnificently simple but you have to go to the root of social well being. Collaborating and not fighting is what it's all about. It seems obvious but we don't put enough thought and effort on working on this. The key is straightforward and gives 1000x "returns" on your investment. All you have to do is foster altruism like this: 1. Raise awareness about fundamental emotional needs (yourself or paying for promotion of this understanding) 2. Spread altruistic networks (also by paying for their advertising) 3. Teach others to do these things. You guys have the power to do this in a big way. Yourselves or funding this activity. This is how you will bring about a global transition to a new stage of humanity. Elevate humanity to a Startrek society.

We need a new term instead of DeFi (Decentralized) central (centralized) bank 😂

Please add to the show highlights the Reddit 46 minutes. Haseeb basically makes the argument that all of us would have done what Sam did given the same market conditions. Easily, the most based dying on this hill, statement of the entire pod.

40:55, tend to agree. And not to defend Sam in anyway, is much more objective. Would also like to see people take some pause before giving psychopaths so much trust and money just for who their parents are and where they went to school. Is not what this space is about.

Haseeb trying to segment white collar crime is cringe af. Sam stole billions of dollars. A guy could walk into a corner store and steal a candy bar at gun point, hurt no one and get 30yrs easy. Crime is crime.

I agree with you, Haseeb. Imprisoning him is so counterproductive. Make him work and take most of his salary for the victims.

It's not, he's a sociopath who hurt people. That's one of the benefits of prison. It removes these people from the gen pop. It also sends a message to would be swindlers in the space to think twice. Consequences of fraud and theft could cost you your life. Edit: I agree that he can be productive to society from prison somehow, in what way idk
