What an upbeat performance. I miss the days when one could see entertainment like this by simply turning on the television or radio. Ethel Merman and her contemporaries were the best entertainers, in my opinion -- I don't want fans of modern entertainment to think I'm trolling. At least there still are people like Tony Bennett and Barbra Streisand performing regularly. So little from the golden era remain . . .
Oh my god, this was amazing, thanks for posting this!
Only a month prior to this broadcast, Freddie Cannon had a massive hit with a rock 'n roll oriented remake of this old chestnut. This arrangement was obviously a response from the older generation, thinking to themselves, "Let's show these young hooligans how this tune is supposed to be performed!"

IDLERACER Freddy Cannon’s version of this song was also great, with its rock and roll adaptation.
What movie or show is this from?
What a dynomite entertainer.
