@@rjrude5941 not just that, he has the best ability of discernment among all the players ive seen play. he knows when something is worth doing, like in hid match against sandstorm, when he had a stock lead, h went absolute ham aggrssive adn threw sandstorm off and stole a stock. he traded many punish hits, but racked up almost equal and more damage with his berserker sig mode. he doesnt go for options that could get him punished, and his movemnt paired with that aspect shows how good he is here.

@@djkilla3711 Most of the these players complaining are likely in gold themselves. Even when I was in gold I didn't truly understand just how good some of these players were. They don't understand that he isn't using Sigs just to spam. That would be what Sandstorm did in the final match of the 2v2. Sting Ray is using it at optimal points to pressure his opponents.

Low Gold to Mid Plat are still trash and have zero valuable opinion. Using a lot sigs is extremely risky but also something top players do often because they know it’s a safe time to abuse the sig. 1800+ actually have common sense and game knowledge. Calling stingray a spammer is so naive.

I don't know, I don't think it needs a nerf...like...up until now, most people have been calling lance useless in high elo play because it's so slow and predictable. But now that people are getting better with it, everyone wants it to be nerfed and this is a recurring theme with every meta weapon. When scythe was top dog, everyone complained. When katars were top, everyone complained. Same with orb. It's just...idk, there's always going to be a weapon that's on top and rather than adapt to it, people want to lower the difficult by nerfing it. The whole concept just seems dumb to me.

Spot dodge reads arent crazy tech. reverse nair into sair is well known by lance players. We'll see how he will handle orion sigs becoming more punishable probably in next patch. Not meaning to be toxic but I really hope he has other playstyles because seeing him landing 5 sigs in a row against sandstorm is heartbreaking

yall do realize that this isnt sig spamming right. Sigs are apart of the character and stingray utilizes them in order to gain the positioning advantage and when players don’t respect those signatures they get hit. Its not sig spamming its utilizing the moves in the characters kit... i play brawlhalla and happen to be barely diamond, watching stingray is very exciting for me because his mechanics like movement, spacing, and reading the opponent are SUPERB. You cant say stingray is a sig spammer if you don’t understand how much more goes into the game then just throwing out moves..

If you have the chance to go for a punish, would you not? Sigs are really good to punish since the damage they deal can be high and can result in a kill. Not to say lights can't kill, sigs do the job better most of the time however.

I only happen to be a low gold and i get that sig spamming is a not fun play style to fight against, but like I said, if you have the chance to take out a stock from someone, would you not?

He's earned respect because he beat Boomie, Sandstorm, Cosolix, AND Ethan and finished the tournament in 2nd place despite never being this high (or heard of) before. That is not something you obtain through mere luck. Disliking his play style, the legend he plays (Orion,) or the fact that he beat Sandstorm is all subjective and quite frankly a personal problem for whoever is partaking at those reasons. Objectively speaking however, what he accomplished in this tournament was impressive. Also, disliking certain weapons does not make them broken...it just means you cannot efficiently and consistently defend against them. Somewhere, someone is complaining about every weapon in the game. There are people that hate Scythe, Sword, Axe, Hammer, Bow, Orb, etc etc. The weapon that receives the least amount of criticism is spear, and that's because it's such a basic weapon...all the other weapons possess intricate strings and capabilities that make them lethal in the hands of certain players. *TL;DR Don't hate the player, hate the game...or better yet just don't play it if you hate it so much.*
