The winter song is a strong contrast to this song. It's not dark, but beautiful, sorrowful and harsh. It's beyond a masterpiece

You've reacted the whole album of Time I except the first track "When Time Fades Away", it is essentially a 4-minute long intro to "Sons of Winter and Stars" so it has to be listened together with that song. The intro doesn't have any lyrics, guitars, bass nor drums so it's an instrumental orchestral track with oriental instruments, but it's epic as fuck.

I love this Song and Album. This song is so dark, it's amazing. Also I saw two recommendation here of Ne Oblivascaris and Carach Angren, both amazing bands, so you should defenitly react to them.

Kai is the drummer for wintersun, but he is not drumming on this album. The album except with help with some backing vocals by the band and friends is all performed, recorded and mixed/mastered by the lead singer Jari, in his apartment. The drums are programmed.

Jari did the guitar solo? I though it was Teemu... Jesus Christ, Jari is amazing

Yeah man, this is the darker song in the album and in the discography of Wintersun. Loneliness (Winter) is one of the most beautiful songs that they've ever made and my personal favorite of the record

Probably the best song on the album, in my opinion :)

MetalBreakdown, Great reaction! I'm waiting for Loneliness reaction! By the way... for every lover of songs like this, be sure to check out band called Shade Empire and their Omega Arcane album. Especially tracks like Ruins (Album version with this huge symphonic intro), Disembodiment (You got to hear this track! It's incredible!) and title track Omega Arcane. It's more symphonic, but still dark and apocalyptic as hell. You won't regret!

This end was totally propositional to show us how death comes suddenly But man, I think you singing in the final wasn't good hehe

You should listen to Winter Madness from the first album, has a wicked solo!

You should to react a song called "Loneliness (Winter)" By the way, it is not darker then "Eternal darkness". It's a very beautiful and, at the same time, very sorrowful ballad. I think, you'll not disappointed by this masterpiece
