    The cable is 4(4CX500+240)mm2, not 1C. You have choosed 1C, 0.7Kv, 500mm2, you should go to other choice for 4C not 1C. The arrangement of the cables from the single line diagram says FOUR CABLES each cable is 4C (FOUR CORE), not each is 1C. Your choice is right if it is 4(1CX500+240)mm2. Thank you for your effort.

    Hi Hassan, You didn't notice that there is another option called number of conductors per phase, you will see that it is written as 4 conductors per phase which provides for each phase a 4 conductors and our system is a three phase, so you will have the required number of conductors.

(one example will enough) (I have seen in the comment section questions about using 1C cable and I understand that it because of this is a single line diagram and we are considering only one phase) Thank you very much for your effort!

  • @KhadijaAcademy

    @KhadijaAcademy

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey, Thank you for your nice feedback. I appreciate it. Let me explain this as many people are confused regarding 1/C, 2/C and these things. First, what does 1/C mean? 1/C means that the cable has only 1 core, which means, if you have a three phase system, you will need 3 of 1/C cables to provide three phase power. If you enable the display of how many cables utilized in the display options of the load flow, specifically, in the tab "AC" and tick on "size" beside the cable. ETAP will show you how many cables are required based on your selection. 3/C means that the cable has three cores, which means, in a three phase system, you will need only one of it to supply three phase power. In ETAP, if you selected the first option, you will find a number of cables written as 3-1/C which means that ETAP selected 3 of this single core cable to supply electrical power. However, if you selected 3/C, you will find it selected only one, as it is enough for the system. 2/C means 2 cores in one cable, 4/C means 4 cores, and so on. The neutral is not shown in the main library from what I remember. If I remember correctly, the neutral is added separately from the tab "Configuration" in the cable settings, then selecting the neutral from the auxiliary library with the size needed.

  • @KhadijaAcademy

    @KhadijaAcademy

    Жыл бұрын

    I just checked out on ETAP, if you choose 4/C, then you can have three cores for the three phase system and the fourth one can be neutral or protective earth. This can be set from the "Configuration" menu in the cable itself by selecting the neutral as main cable.
