Thank you so much for this. What is really interesting and mysterious things about the "Estranged" video is how GNR allegedly rented out the Long Beach Arena and had most of their UYI tour stage set up to film whatever it was that was lacking from the concert video recorded in Germany 1993. What I would do for Axl to release all of the 1993 Germany pro shot concert AND all of the filming that went on in the Long Beach Arena too, even though it was not a real concert. Any video footage from the AFD and especially the UYI ear is God awful precious.

The director of this video was spot on - this song/video could have been written about me. It is emotive and does connect deep down. Can’t comprehend the depths of emotions Axle Rose achieved and I, a female on the other side of the world, connected with his spirit here. Who could imagine??? It had nothing to do with being ‘fan struck’ or nothing about his fame. It was him working his way out of what he was going through, which was exactly what I was as well. But Axle expressed it better, like a spiritual awakening. I did not expect that from Axle and Guns N Roses. No one else gets this. This masterpiece was a healing gift. It is legendary. And I think there was an answer there. You have to go through it to see it.

My aunt gave me the VHS tape of this when I was about 4-5 years old and it was amazing. It’s a shame this has so many sound issues because this whole documentary is incredible

I love the song, the video and Axl Rose from the 90s, his interviews from that time, the way he speaks. He seemed to have come so far, seemed so grown up, but then came the lost/dark years and everything he had achieved seemed lost.

Just looked it up, turns out slash didn’t get any writing credits on Estranged. He asked and Axl said he was very appreciated. But in the end no money. I know it’s all water under the bridge but… come on.

I think i would have been axl's best friend, if he would have had me (he wouldn't) Instead i had to grow up and face repercussions for my actions 20 years ago. Which turned me into a good man. Im glad i wasn't a friend of axl. Im fortune to have to grow with consequences. I have a beautiful life with grandkids, a nice house, and a nest egg. I remember 1990 and my biggest wish was to be axl rose, my 2nd biggest wish was to be his best friend. Im so happy wishes don't come true
