Totally agree! Whitney talked over a LOT of content that I'm hoping a better podcaster with even a minor awareness of others can mine. Whitney's circle of love (or her therapist) need to say, "The world is NOT your therapist. We see you. You're pretty. Stop talking. Seriously. Stop."

I come from a very matriarchal family, viking ancestry, raised by warrior women, so I u derstood completely when you said that female comedians are so hated. It's because they are so powerful. You aren't meek and demure (nothing wrong with that) but instead you are just as strong and powerful as all those male comedians, even more so considering the courage it takes to fight to where you are now. I thank God for women like you and those in my family, its women like you that' have stood beside bois like me as we found our way out of our closets. In my opinion if strong men hate you for being you....then your doing it right!

That's neat how you try to turn positivity into some kinda scenario where only negative things can be real. Also only if you tear down positive things you don't have to even look at, You chose this, and now you try to tear it down. Ya who wants inspiration and truth when you can spread your hate and anger, also coming from not pulling your fear into the light and laughing at how unproductive it is, how your the only one who can change that, and your lack of empathy and wisdom withered away behind this fear you love so much. You actually go out of your way to spread, but I'm wonder bread baby, and I'll send positive for you to use to rethink your entire existence and be a light in so much darkness

@@besma2627 Episode #6 was pretty good, what got me into her podcast. Her leaving a voicemail to her assistant moaning about coffee was interesting and sort of funny since he was okay with that. This one though was a bit too self hating so it took my attention. She came off a bit like saying, "I am more successful than you in this business but psychologically a mess because of it. Tolerate me and you shall relish the bounties that fall from this mess I call Whitney." All that from her comparative analysis of herself to the guest. There are some characters you don't do that to, Esther is one of those characters. Edited to add: The reason why is because of the little sister energy. We expect Whitney to be more calm and collected, and she wasn't.

My mom died in 2016 when i was 20 and i was so damaged by that trauma it took me a few years to recover meaningfully from that heartbreaking event. I'm now at a place where i can't be scared or discouraged to face anything that comes my way cause losing a parent is one of the worst human experiences we will have in our lifetimes

I love everything about this. How did I miss this episode?! When Esther says how vile it is when people yuck others yum in the comedy world, so much yes. It's been been inspiring to see you ladies get the respect you deserve in the industry. I feel as if I see the world so differently and for what it is, accepting it too, possibly because I'm in my 30s yet at the same time it's because of women like you. Taylor Tomlinson is proof it isn't just age though, at the same time it's the experiences and learning to speak up for other women until they finally do for themselves. So relatable, when I finish reading, writing and completing an uncomfortable therapy session..I start to feel like the rest of the world is doing the same work too, if only more of us could go about life this way- it might be a little bit more enjoyable. Ps, I saw Taylor in Portland a few days ago and I felt your tribe vibe was there in spirit, wishing I could see your show this weekend. 🕺💪✌

Their comment on comedians embarassing themselves so they can control how they are embarassed reminded me of highschool. I had severe anxiety and one day i wore pigtails (man with long hair here). And i remember my anxiety being gone, because i still had that feeling like everyone was staring at me, but i could dismiss it that they are just staring at my hair.
