Our girl Ester is in for quite a rude awakening . . . Whitney you are So very right about doing all the things before baby arrives. I lived on my couch for the first 3 months my daughter was born because my bedroom was on another level of the house. I also put either a baby swing, chair, bassinet , rocker, etc in every room so there was always a safe place to put my daughter and know she can’t escape or hurt herself in those moments of exhaustion, frustration, pure delusion because I might need a moment to myself. Even in the bathroom a kept a little bouncer chair for when I took a shower. Many blessing to both you mommas Xoxo

Unfortunately she is, I listen to trash Tuesday and she does not have the tools or any experiences with anything difficult like most people. It sounds like her partner is pretty capable though so the child will be alright. Just don't know if E will.

@@clevermissfox don’t get me wrong I truly wish her the best, motherhood is an incredible ever evolving experience unlike anything else in life. I just think people who are about to be parents need to really educate themselves on not just children , child birth, kids, priorities, division of labor in the home, parenting styles, but about themselves and how the Handel stress, why they are the way they are, why the do what they do, because all of it comes in to play when raising little humans. And for some reason most people go into it blindly and unfortunately It can really do some damage to everybody in the family unit / household. I have a stand strong opinion that the way to world peace through parenting.

@@AlexxWoodwick I completely agree. If they instituted a "parenting test" before one was allowed to procreate , I don't think I'd be opposed. You need a test to do anything else in this country. It should at least be as difficult as a drivers license test!

Whitney, I love you so much for talking about how you don't just feel so in love with your baby in the beginning and how it's just surviving. My baby is 8 months and I do love her more than anything in this world but that's not exactly how I felt at first. It was hard and I still feel guilty for feeling that way. You are the first person I have come across that has put my actual experience into words and I'm seriously grateful for that ❤

I felt bad because after I had my babies I didn’t cry and get all emotional. When they would place them on my chest I usually just layed there stunned. By the time they took them away to check them over and weigh them I was ready to hold them. We all react differently to it.

All kids are weird no matter what...my girl loves being the only child. She is 10. She is sweet, giving and makes my life so much better. I am the youngest of 4. It was not fun. We fought all the time. We are close now but not when we were kids. My daughter has a cousin same age and they have the greatest relationship ❤️

I can relate to both these women - Whitney’s verbose neuroticism, Esther’s state of relaxed / being paralyzed by overwhelm. Motherhood can be based on whatever your own style is, and you have hundreds of tries to get it right in terms of caring for a baby (diapering, baths, etc etc). Learning this was good for my inner perfectionist. Loved this episode

I liked Esther before she started doing that podcast with Annie and Bobby’s ex. I remember listening to the first couple of episodes and they would talk about how ladies need each other, but in the wrong ways. They don’t let Esther be herself, a cute little tomboy who’s not afraid to say her opinion. They molded her into someone else with a bad attitude and rude comments instead of her own intellectual opinions. I’m glad you had her on your podcast and I listened to the whole episode, but I don’t think I can watch her content until she cuts out Bobby’s ex from her life and career. I hope becoming a mom will help her see that.

No one told me about gums bleeding either! My gums bled so bad during pregnancy that I developed an abscess and no dentist would help me because I was 30 weeks pregnant. One side of my face swelled up so bad and I had to have emergency oral surgery under anesthesia at the hospital. The pain of the abscess was excruciating, worse than giving birth. I had never even had so much as a cavity before that.

During my pregnancy I watched a show on TLC before the 90 days. I don’t remember the name of the show but it was about couples during pregnancy all the way up into the actual BIRTH of the baby. I watched every episode to prepare me for the unexpected. After the birth of my only thriving child 😂 I could never watch it again. The show served its purpose. Look into it.

This was such a great interview....with Whitney's detailed advice to Ester's follow up questions to get all the juice. I'm a sucker for details. Esther should consider being a pop culture journalist if she ever needs a break from comedy. Love the big sister, little sister love. ❤

I had a horrific pregnancy, after 9 months of hell, having a newborn feels like a piece of cake because I'm not fighting for my life being trapped in my body. Maybe I had realistic expectations, but you just gotta go with the flow and you learn each other. It takes practice!!!

WHITNEY MORE MOM REALNESS. YOU ARE Speaking to my soul. I wish I had someone telling me that those intrusive thoughts were okay. I didn’t have people saying it was bad and shame me but I just deal with it. I have a daughter Whitney, almost 3 and my son Leonard will be two in November. I wanted strong names for my children and that stood out in a way that was unique for the time now. If that makes sense. Have 2 within 15 months is literal war chaos but I wouldn’t have it any other way❤❤

I’m an only child hate it and I’ve always hated it. My dad died, my mom died. Both before I was 30. I’m so fucking lonely in this world. I have 2 children and I’m so incredibly happy they have each other. Not to say they can’t hate tf out of eachother some day lol but idk growing up alone for me personally fucking sucked. I hated being an only child growing up and I still hate that I am now and I feel very alone in the world. I l love watching my kids grow up and even tho they fight sometimes they have a beautiful funny unique bond and I hope if I raise them right they can be there for eacgorher when shit hits the fan when they are older. I think having atleast 2 is best. I have one boy one girl they are a little under 4 years apart I do wish I woulda had them 2 years apart but obviously pregnancy doesnt always just happen when u want it to lol but yeah highly recommend doing what’s best for you, but as an only child who is now parentless I do wish I had a sibling. I also wish my kids had aunts and uncles but since I’m an only child my kids don’t have aunts/ uncles on my side or grandpa or grandma so it really makes the family quite small and lonely but I also know ppl who have huge families and they aren’t close at all so I do know that having more family doesn’t mean you’re all gonna be close knit…but yeah just wanted to drop my opinion :) I also can’t imagine having anymore then 2 kids tho cuz it’s hard to give 2 other humans the proper amount of love and care so when ya start having 3+ I feel like it’s impossible for them to get neglected at least a little emotionally and prob financially too but then those kids who had tons of siblings do grow up super independent cuz they had to be the parent to their younger siblings so I guess that makes for a “strong” person but I’m sure it mentally is taxing to have to grow up so fast/ I could rant for hours about pros and cons jahah.

EMTs(and firemen) are usually volunteers w little training. Its wild that we dont pay or train them well when our lives depend on them! I never understood why police are paid by taxes, but not these other 2 types of lifesavers🤔

lotion sometimes, not all showers but most yea. I don't really like the way lotion feels, I suggest putting oil like a vitamin E oil at the end of shower before drying off. but also lotioning is a easy way to show yourself self love and staying in touch with your body...literally
