Estes Valley: Jurassic Park - Byron's Ladder 5.2

Спорт

This was actually the first climb of the trip! We stumbled up the approach for like an hour and arrived at the crag mentally defeated because we worked all morning, but I wanted to at least get on something.
This climb was extremely mediocre (pretty sure it's primarily an approach route for harder bolted routes), but it was a good intro to the kind of rock we'd be climbing on in the area. Beautiful view of Longs and The Diamond too.
Also Krysta's first ever non-backed up lead belay!

@@ronaldeberle5169 the anchor is really horizontally far from where the climb was, so retrieving my quickdraws basically required me to do a rope assisted downclimb of the whole route. Although now that I'm thinking about it, I probably could've clipped myself to the rope on the way down to keep me near the bolts
