Boulder Canyon - The Prince and the Pauper 5.10a

This was my first clean 5.10a lead outdoors! Specific crag is Sherwood Forest in Boulder Canyon. We meant to go to Cascade Crag, but got a little turned around and ended up here. Super fun route that in Wisconsin, would get 4 stars. Colorado climbers don't know how good they have it 😁
Pretty sustained 5.8 or 5.9 climbing to just a few 5.10a moves in the crux. The rock quality out there is amazing - makes me sad to go back to Devil's Lake quartzite.
The approach for this crag also involved a Tyrolean traverse which I had never done before. That was super fun

Your "take" after clipping the anchors sounded WAY more cool, calm, and collected than mine would've lol

you get a nice ledge to chill on at that point. otherwise it would've sounded much worse I'm sure lol

This route was also like 1.5 stars on MP. Definitely would be a 4 star classic in the midwest LMAO
