As a massive Esteghlal fan I doubt we are going to get through this super tough group, last year Esteghlal was much stronger and we smashed the group of death with Al Hilal, Al Ain and Al Rayyan. Hopefully we can get 3rd place and go to the Asian cup and potentially win that tournament. Iranian football unlike Arab football doesn’t have much money in it and we can’t afford expensive and big name players like Benatia, Boudenjah and Gomis. We use players that came through our own academy systems and mix them with some Foreign players from Small European and African leagues such as Pattosi and Mensha.

Hallowjin bruh if we had “shit” clubs last year Perspolis wouldn’t have reached the final and Esteghlal wouldn’t have reached the quarterfinals finals. 5 teams from Iran have gotten to the final of the AFC Asian champions league I don’t think any other Arab country has managed to do that, however Iranian teams aren’t good this year and I don’t think Esteghlal is going to get past this extremely tough group unless a miracle happens, I’m just hoping for us to get third so we could go to the Asian cup and potentially win that.
