Changed out the water pump a year ago now after the spin cycle water leaks out the front I took the cabinet off and checked hoses and didn’t see and leaks🤷‍♀️

I bought a used Estate washer, but it doesn't get water in when I connect my hot/cold hose. Instead, the hose starts licking from the connection at the blue valve. Any advice?

Recently I replaced water heater and now washer will not stop filling . When i replace the water heater the washer was filling up it stop by its self . I had to turn off shut off valve to shut off the water do you think its the water inlet on the washer?

Thanks for watching, it’s very likely that a new inlet valve unit will solve issue. You probably have a faulty valve.

After replacing part. The leak stopped. But then after filling up all power seems to have just disappeared. The machine is dead. Won't drain. Won't fill. Help

Thanks for watching, that’s no fun. Did you ensure all electrical connections were re-secured? Is the new part the exact same part number as the original one or is it an aftermarket part? Every now and then, an aftermarket parts can lead to additional issues.

Hey Michael, I have a Whirlpool washer that completes an entire washing cycle and the light turns green to indicate it’s ended. The problem is the water turns back on and fills the washing machine tub. What is wrong?

That is an indication that your water inlet valve needs to be replaced. The valve consists of two separate electrical valves. The purpose of the valves are to allow water into the machine when guided to and also, stop water from entering machine when guided to. Unfortunately when a valve fails, it can act sporadically and allow water into machine when it’s not supposed to. I’m not sure what’s going on with my washer, put a load in like usual. Put the dial on large load, walked away. Come back, floor is flooded, yet washer did ring out the clothes. No water in the washer, took clothes out. Cleaned the flooded floor, turned it on to test it, water doesn’t stop filling. Had to shut off dial to get it to stop filling, tried to unhook water to washer. Water won’t stop coming out while trying to unhook hose from washer, not overflow more like waters on. But I shut it off, no water should be coming out. I ended up just screwing the hose back on the washer, no clue what’s wrong. I’m so confused, washer is old, no manual. Numbers on door don’t come up anywhere I look, not sure how old it is. It’s a GE, that’s all I know. 😔

The automatic shut off valves go bad overtime and can lead to constant water output if failed in the open position. Please keep us posted, we DIYers need to stick together! 😎👍

@@DIYwithMichaelBorders part number was on top of inlet valve I put a new one and I still don’t have cold water 🤷‍♀️

@@Msleelee9487 Thanks for the update, is the cold water shutoff valve back to the open position? If it is, the cold water hose might be clogged…🤔

I forgot to mention only the hot water will not shut off the cold was working fine. I am thinking the debris front hot water heater ruined the water inlet valve
