Oh my god. MR. Tonne, thank you so much for doing something as wonderful as to go to a convalescent home to play for our elders. You truly are a light. I think many people forget about our elders and really do not realize just how much wisdom they have to pass on if only we just sat and took a few moments to really listen to their stories and advice. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. It seems as though you are someone who figured out how to unlock one of life's most precious and important secrets. The power of music and where it can take you. You are the music.

Of all the videos of Estas, this one touches me the most. I wish Estas to be immortal enough to come to US in 20 years to wherever I am, and do this for me too. (I'd love to see him anywhere, anytime now-but he is not here. )

There is something fundamental in music that appeals to all ages. In this case it seems to remind people of their past experiences, taking them back to a basic state of mind. Many years ago I was asked by a lady to do a slide show about the plants and animals to be found in the New Forest UK. I had done many, but in this case it was to a large group of inmates/residents in a mental home. This was in Hampshire UK. When I arrived I was told that the attention span of the audience was basically zero, and that they would walk about, talk, and pay little attention, but that I should just soldier on regardless. The slides were of plants, deer, snakes, and all manner of creatures. I gave them my normal slide presentation, with lots of information, and spoke for 90 minutes. In all that time nobody moved from their chairs, and all listened in silence! At the end there were in fact many deep and intelligent questions for the audience. The staff were absolutely stunned! Like music, there is something in wildlife that even these people seemed to be taken into somewhere from their youth.
