do you know how to add a hard drive driver? I have a newer Dell laptop that doesn't seem to be recognized by the mini Win 10. I think I need to add the drive since thats what I had to do for a standard Windows install. thanks.

On the USB, the System folder has a folder in it for Drivers. Drop your unzipped drivers in there. They can have folders and subfolders, and will be loaded upon startup of Mini Windows 10.

I turned off all the Windows Defender options my computer would let me turn off (it wouldn't let me turn off "device security" or "account protection") including the firewall; tried (twice, on 2 separate USB's); but, the 1st time, it said that there were 47 files missing at the equiv. of the "8:38" point. (41 on the 2nd try, after initially saying "0 bad, 0 missing.) On both tries, I tried to scroll down to see if I could figure out how to install them manually; but, instead of the names of the missing files being listed with red X's, the was just the red X with the number count. At least my computer can still recognize the 2nd USB - it won't even acknowledge the 1st one now... (Looking like I somehow "killed" that 1st 64Gb USB - OUCH! ON MY MEAGER BUDGET!) I WAS (still) getting defender "alerts" on some of the files; so, I'm wondering if I (somehow) missed something while trying to turn all the defender settings to "off." Are there places other than in the Win 10 Home "Updates & Security" where I need to look for something to turn off??? If so, should I reformat the 2nd USB; &, start over from scratch? How would I go about downloading the missing files manually, if I eventually get to a point where the missing files are listed? Some info. that might be useful: I'm trying to build this RECOVERY USB using an old HP laptop, to try to recover some really important files & passwords off of an even older Dell laptop (Latitude E6510) that's not want to boot. Both laptops were "the cheapest the local pawn shop had" after I lost pretty much everything to a fire that was intentionally set during "extreme fire danger" conditions. It's essential for me to recover these to meet some fire related law suit deadlines, which will determine if I will even have a future; but, I'm having to do it "pro se," due to the facts that: 1) The case is a "sure win; but, COLLECTING is NOT - preventing lawyer to not want to take it on pure contingency; &, 2) That fire left me too destitute to even be able to scrape together a retainer fee. (More info on: [NO-WWW kathy74868 d weebly d com] if anyone's interested in the details) I'm 70; &, dealing with both adrenal fatigue & brain fog ever since the fire. Years ago (pretty much up through Vista), I knew a lot more about computers than I do now; but, that was just from occasionally needing to fix my own. At this point, I pretty much "know just enough to be dangerous;" but, taking it anywhere to get it fixed by someone who knows what they're doing isn't an option. Even if I could afford to pay them, I'd have make a 100 mile round trip to take it anywhere. Trying scrape together the funds to meet a deadline to have summonses mailed out (AT @ $30 EACH!), neither one is an option right now... :-( Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
