I've been wanting to get into dry leaning and pressing my own books. Glad to see the Pentel eraser, lots of videos have an eraser but don't show want kind, and as I newb I'm afraid to make a mistake.

i'm sure you love comics as much as i do , Dr. Paul , so any comic is worth the time ! i've never seen a square bound pressed before so i'm looking forward to the next webisode . you're channel HAS grown . i subscribe around 780 , so , you've increased a thousand in a short time . that tells you you must be doing something right !

Thanks Rick! It’s true. Even though I’m mostly buying the bigger keys and rare golden age stuff these days, it doesn’t diminish my love for just about all comics-it’s just that I already own the stuff that is easier to find! I’m so grateful to all the viewers that have grown the channel in the last year. I think you’ll like my approach to pressing square-bound comic books, it’s very straightforward. Fingers crossed I get the video up tomorrow evening.

I always wondered how you'd be able to posibbly repair these GS/Annual/King Size comics. That have spines that were glued.

Yup. Completely different pressing buffer stack. Once you understand that it’s not too difficult though.

Have you seen a UV protection frame for slabbed comics? Or maybe a UV slip cover for slabs?

I am familiar with some work in this area but it is not something i have studied extensively. As far as i know, every material that allows visible light to pass also allows at least some UV to pass, so it can't indefinitely protect your comic from UV, it can only slow down the damaging effects of UV. But i'd love to learn if there is something that works to provide 100% UV protection.

Had the cover come off of a square bound book, has this ever happened to you, can I glue it back on? if so can you suggest a glue, thanks

I have put them back on with methyl cellulose and received blue label. I have heard others heated the glue up with a tack iron and re-adhered the cover which I don’t have experience with myself but seems superior if you can get it to work.

Hi Dr. Paul, are you offering cleaning and pressing as a paid service? I have a high dollar key that im not willing to attempt myself and was looking for a pro not a newbe like myself. Thanks.
