He couldn't be more wrong about LIV Golf. LIV is the golfers golf league. It's at its infancy but I feel like people are going to be surprised in 5 years time.

Rich Eisen is an old man not open to change. Water golf down? Let a player decide what they want to do. Let the PGA watch while they don’t change. Now Koepka, pretty soon PGA employees start to move. Its a matter of time that this league becomes sooooo attractive to the better players that competition will rise and people will watch.

I enjoy watching majors and the Ryder cup. Other than that I’m not watching golf period. As many others have said, it does seem odd that golfers get the brunt of anti-Saudi sentiment. How many nations or corporations have taken “principled” stands and refused to do business with the Saudis?

Of course we’re not consuming it. When they land a TV deal, you think people aren’t going to watch? They said the same thing about the AFL. Then they got a TV deal and I grew and grew and a merger happened. Eventually they’ll do a Ryder Cup like event. Brooks and Bryson will be captains. Lol

@@lakeozarkrei3767 it’s just getting started. If they keep stealing these players like Brooks and Ancer, those scores are going down. Watch what happens tomorrow. They’re announcing two more players. Brooks just removed PGA from his social media. Like him or not, that’s a name.

Pretty sure SVP was asking if fans care about the coverage of the split as much as the media, not if fans care about LIV as a sporting league. But RE kinda cut him off before he could clarify

I have never been a Greg Norman fan. I didn't like how he twisted the PGA Tour back in the 1980's to be an "International Tour". We need the PGA Tour for Americans and the European Tour for Europeans. The situation is even worse with the LPGA. I am not watching Miss Korea win every week. That's just un-American.

LIV golf will survive and start to thrive as long as the saudis keep throwing gobs of money at it...54 hole shotgun start is a joke...Might as well make it a 2 man scramble with names drawn out of a hat..LIV is here folks until the saudis get bored with it...Accept it..

Players care about money & majors. The latter are all played during the football off-season and they will get money even if TV networks in USA won't show LIV. Besides streaming is supposed to be the new black so TV approval is no longer neccesary?

Two things…. 1) nobody cares about PGA Tour events as fans. The anti LIV people are holding it to the standard of a Major. Not a fair comparison. Is there more interest in LIV compared to some mid tier tour event? Absolutely. 2) You need to look beyond American shores for comparisons. Difficult I know. But cricket had this exact thing happen between 77 and 79. Tore the game apart. Now? Stronger than its ever been. Two formats coexist in the same ecosystem and makes everybody money. To a lesser extent, same thing happened in Rugby League in Australia, again 25 years later and the game is the strongest it’s ever been. Both rocked their respective sports to their cores, compromises were worked out and a path forward let to exponential growth. I’m sure golf will be fine.
