Okay, and? Those countries usually depend solely on the military to protect their borders while we have an entire department for that. And what would 250,000 troops on the border do? We’d be able to give each migrant our undivided attention. So, that’s nice of us I guess. But we couldn’t just throw them back in Mexico. Once they cross the border, they’re entitled to face an immigration judge.

It was acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly who removed Crozer. Mark Esper does not have authority over the Navy so whether he “supported” the move or not is irrelevant.

Fortunately, we don't live under that system. We live in a republic, described by John Adams as, "a government of laws, not men." The law, as stated above, says the federal military can never be used for domestic purposes. We have a National Guard for that. Unless you are proposing a war and invasion of Mexico to stop illegal immigration - which may be what you want - the President can't summon 250,000 federal soldiers to perform functions within the US.

I think we should be welcoming immigrants with open arms to help with our current labor shortages. This would help home developers keep up with demand and lower the cost of affordable housing for everyone. It's simple supply and demand economics and right now companies can't keep up with demand. I think immigration is the key to driving the economy forward.
