These are great sensors, I have 3 currently and made my own 3d printed case to mount to the wall. I will be replacing my PIR sensors around the house for my accurate detection when turning on/off lights. They do penetrate through the walls, had to adjust the distance so when someone walked past my office it wouldn't trigger.

If you use them outside, they don't work if it's raining. They just continuously report a presence. They also report a presence if a person is behind the sensor.

Nice video ,, maybe u can use this to turn the light on once it detects any movement

The only flaw is it detects the ceiling fan moment too you need to be more careful on placing the sensor and play with Detection distance values a lot and although you will end up with costly solution

nice video as always. I like you are using esp-idf. Dont you think esp32 esp-idf documentation is just abysmal. I actually hate there bsp packages.
