ESKISEHIR TURKEY - The City of Fantasies || Unbelievable Places to Visit in Eskişehir & Odunpazarı
In today's video, we visit Eskisehir which is a city in North West of Turkey. Eskişehir is a truly magical city with a fabulous mix of modern as well as traditional Ottoman architecture. Eskişehir is adorned with golden statues and is known as the 'Venice of Turkey' with its gondola rides on the Porsuk River, as well as beautiful bridges. You can easily visit Odunpazarı, using the trams, taxi, or by walk like we did. Odunpazarı is a traditional Ottoman village with well-preserved buildings, cobbled streets, and handicraft markets. You will feel like you have taken a step back in time. Don't forget to enjoy Balaban Kebab, which is a famous dish that is only available in Eskisehir!
Sazova Park should also be on your list of places to visit whilst in Eskisehir. Here you can find a Disney-Like castle, but when you look closely you will see that it is actually made up of famous landmarks from around Turkey including the Galata Tower in Istanbul. You will also find an aircraft exhibition here since Eskisehir was where Turkey's first aviation industry began.
Şelale Park is a great place to visit to catch a fabulous glimpse of the city from above. The best time to visit Selale Park is during or after sunset since the site of the glistening lights from the city are just magical.

Apologies for the late reply! I appreciate your kind words :) I can’t really recommend hotels in Eskisehir because I've only ever stayed in Airbnb apartments on the two occasions I went there. I do know from watching another video on Eskisehir that the hotels prices aren't so expensive

You can go to Eskişehir by train as a matter of fact and it’s very affordable. It gets you there within 3 hours from what I remember of the journey I made back from Eskişehir to Istanbul. I usually get the bus from Bursa to Eskişehir but there must be one that goes from Istanbul

There’s actually a train you can get which gets you to Istanbul from Eskisehir in just 3 hours. You’ll find the location if you search it up. I used it once as well. I think it stops near Kadikoy in Istanbul and the ticket was quite cheap, even for the first class seats
