@Ken narville Bruh.. escargot is no more disgusting than eating shrimp. Shrimp are the roaches of the sea...objectively filthy bottom feeders yet the Western world eat tons of it yearly. Broiled, boiled, stir fryed...crunch crunch. Ignorance is bliss. Get over yourself 😂

I don't like them. I find them to uneven in texture (I mean its slimy on one end and tough on the other) The butter us nice though, I like other molluscs and I eat stuff like fried bugs or oysters or ears of a pig, so I don't care what it is. I just thing snails aint that good.

In The Philippines we have our own version and we call it "Ginataang Kuhol" or "Snail 🐌 in cooked Coconut Milk". First we washed the snails inside a basin with water, then we heat the cooking oil, then we stir fry the chopped onion, then we put the chopped garlic, then we put the chopped ginger, then we put the washed snails, then the salt and pepper to taste. After several minutes we put the coconut milk. Then we add some water. After it boiled we put green leaves of malunggay.

J'ai moi aussi un accent très marqué en anglais, et je m'applique à au moins respecter la prononciation du "r" anglais, et même sans ça ils entendront à des kilomètres que tu es francophone, ne t'inquiète pas. I love these things, and this is exactly how I love them. Never made them at home, though. I have to find a store that carries them (I’m in Florida and I hear Asian markets sell them), but I wouldn’t bother with the shells. For those of you who don’t know, you’ll find many snails sold unshelled (yes, they’re dead), and people buy the shells for presentation, and reuse them. Instead, they sell little plates with holes in them to hold the snail and other ingredients. Much easier.

I like Escargot with garlic butter like that but I like it even better Vietnamese style with an additional splash of spicy fish sauce.

I remember mine to, I spit it out and remembered why the Germans, English and all other major Europeans called the French dirty people for hundreds of years. Even Haggis has better taste and higher nutritional value.

I am in the USA and I love the escargot that have been prepared for me. I have now attempted to make it myself once, based on KZread recipes/videos, but the flavor was quite bland. I THINK part of the problem was the store bought typical unsalted butter that I used. Can anyone please tell me if I should be using a "special" type of butter for escargot?

like the way they spent so much energy into cooking something that doesn't give back at least the same amount of energy when you eat it. Spending 10.000, callories to get 3000 callories. Nicely played.
