When traveling in high-altitude areas, it's a good idea to bring a small canister of oxygen, especially if you're on your own
9:39 That sign is actually asking you to protect forests and prevent forest fires 🤣
The amount of sidewalks/pathways everywhere is impressive. To many places makes walking impossible, even in cities.
you are a brave man. this worth millions views.
21:50 damn, that waterfall makes me tremble uncontrollably due to my fear of heights.
25:09 I really like the style of your videos! ❤They have a relaxed sense of humor. Additionally, I have been to your country, Ireland, and visited Limerick. I also watched hurling there; it was beautiful and very interesting!

31:54 That sign means that you should not climb over the rails. Loose translation haha. I think that many signs are not only work as a warning, also a disclaimer, like that ‘no swimming’ sign. You never know what some people would do…
Brilliant looking hike, surprised the hotels were so nice. Would love to do it someday!! 🎉
MeiLi snow mountain and Tiger Leaping Gorge, these are the most iconic nature resorts in Yunnan, however the most popular tourist destinations are still Dali and Lijiang.
Some Chinese viewers hope you to climb Huashan Mountain when you're in Xi'an! It's a can't-miss tourist attraction for adventurers!

Unfortunately I tried to fit it in but on this trip it’ll not happen 😔 I really thought I could but with timings it would have been too close to other destinations. Hopefully on the next trip around!

That hotel is so much nicer than any hotel/hostel I've stayed in when hiking somewhere! Looks so luxurious! Would not mind a week with some books there.

It was a *little* pricey at around €120 a night but it was so clean and well made! Of course, the view is incredible too! Thanks for watching 🙏
Really enjoyed that video 😊
It's a dangerous region to explore; if you accidentally fall into those mountain streams, nobody would be able to rescue you, and you may get attacked by wild animals at night.
Now I understand why you always get lost in the city. The wilderness is calling you.

it is interesting that you are actually interacting with other human being. 😇
You are totally different from other visitors in China, who want to explore cities and food. Enjoy youself in China.

Wow, what a hike
really brave,splendid spectacle
your vlogs and videos were shared and quite popular in Chinese KZread-like website named Bilibili. and you are known as the Irish Lost Man as you often navigated yourself into the nowhere. anyway, i myself enjoyed watching your video a lot. i like the way you are travelling just to ramble and speak out your instant reactions and subtly mental world to your audience. that is fascinating.
Nice work, bravo! It's even more developed there than my visit about 11yrs ago. As a nerd and newbie of hiking, without knowing this is a famous (entry-level) hiking route, I just want to visit some scenic spot to fill the 1-2 days gap of my first Yunnan tour. Unprepared, I arrived and started late, in the afternoon. In afraid of that I can't make the middle way town before dark, I rode the horse/donkey. 😅 Anyway, the view is still astonishing. The galaxy is very clear during the night there. I would like to visit there again.
You're a trooper man! Risking life and limb to bring us content lol
Keep going 🎉

Yep! But I won’t lie, my legs were not prepared for it. 😂 I still think the first part of the hike from the small village to the first guest house was the toughest part but was also the nicest as there was no one else on that trail, really peaceful.

@@ramblingbard 26:47 ,I can tell you the correct answer, in many scenic spots in China, you can see these sticks under big stone, they are not used for support or prayer, but actually as a cheap way for monitor, if the sticks breaks, it means that the stone has moved, the geology may change, and the staff will pay attention to it.
