With the way this generation is I really feel for Christians struggling, but honestly with discipline and a love for God's word you can let go of the impulses that draw you away. I struggled for a while with porn but that’s not the issue anymore. Now it’s just lust in my thoughts and constantly desiring physical intimacy. I don’t want casual sex my “fantasy” isn’t like that I’m craving being married to someone and having the sex life God intended. @ Monica Dcunha Don't listen to Piper or the rest. Listen to what God says in HIS word and show me one passage , OT or NT where God tells his children to "struggle with lust" . You cannot find one. It is all man made. You cannot stuggle against something that the Lord himself created like hunger or thirst. He is the author of sex and sex drive ! Are we going to struggle against his creation ? Why ? His creation is flawed ? The language of the Bible is this one : get married if you burn my beloved child . The Lord is good and wise enough to allow his children to get married. @@framboise595 I think a lot of people do struggle with lust like they do with any sin, the struggle is part of the walk of being a Christian, it’s the fight between our flesh and the Spirit. But it’s only through the Holy Spirit that we are slowly but surely sanctified! Even in marriage lust can be an issue, that can turn into adultery. It’s part of the Bible’s prophecy that the world will continue to be screwed up. That’s why we should share the gospel in hopes to expand God’s kingdom before Christ’s return!

Good teaching. Just because the vast majority of people do something immoral, that isn't any excuse for Christians to follow suit. We must all remember that on the Day of Judgment we will have to give an account to God for every word and action of our lives (Matt 12:36). We will be on our own before God on that day. There will be no hiding in the crowd. And all bad excuses will be exposed for what they really are.

@@APOSTLE_GASHAM Those who are in Christ will be saved from hell, but we will still be judged. As Paul says in 2 Cor 5:10: 'For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.' For the saved, the amount of rewards we will receive on the Day of Judgment will depend on how much good and bad we have done in our lives on this earth. Paul is referring to this when he says in 1 Cor 3:14-15: 'If anyone’s work that he has built survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned up, it will be lost, but he will be saved; yet it will be like an escape through fire.' (CSB) So on the Day of Judgment everyone will be judged. The unsaved will be sent to hell, while the saved will enter into final salvation but with differing levels of reward. So it isn't right to say that there is no judgment of any kind for those in Christ. Rather, there is no judgment that involves being sentenced to hell.

God please help my sexual desires be pleasing and righteous in your eyes. It is the most strenuous sin in my life right now, and I pray that your glory shines through me instead of lustful darkness.

Because this is not a problem at all since sex in marriage according to the Lord , happens when one spouse wants it ( 1 Co 7:5). So , where is the problem ? God created men with a higher sex drive because men need it to perform sex. Women are just receivers . John Piper is right about triviality in worship. Too many churches have a too casual and familiar attitude towards God. It is possible to go too far the other way and be too UNfamiliar with Him. Jesus does teach us to address God as Father, so it is right to have some level of familiarity with Him. But more often than not, Christians are too familiar rather than too unfamiliar with God.

if you think that sex is "dirty" or sinful, its because your consciounce has been defiled. Everything God created is good and right!! To the pure, all things are pure!! Just because you have the desire to have sex does not mean your wicked. God created us with those desires so we can reproduce and further the species and God wants godly offspring!! All men have these strong desires, whether your a doctor or lawyer or pastor etc.. all men have these desires. Look at Josepth, Josepth had "controlled passion"!! if Joeseph slept with pharoahs wife, it would of been bad for him and he would of been put to death. God didn't create man for carnal sex. Scripture says God gave us up to the lusts of our own hearts and the lust of the flesh is not from God, but from the world. I do think that takes it one step too far. Male and female he created them. Even though we weren't created primarily for sex, it isn't a filthy and sinful thing inherently, only in the wrong contexts.

@@stumpintheearth1088 My understanding of levitical law, regarding sanitation especially, is that this doesn't mean sex is a shameful filthy thing. Deprive the flesh. Condition the flesh and deny it from over eating, laziness, lying , sex, criminal activity and all the sins that will help you fall. Train your mind to worship the True GOD. Pray daily, read the Bible’s books. 🙏📖♥️✝️🏨♥️📖🙏
