Stephone the jerk Yeah, early dayz mod was the most intense fun I've probably ever had in a video game. People stuck together because it was a new concept and zombies were hard as nails; when we got more experienced we realised the most fun was just straight up PvP.

This trailer is quite the masterpiece at marketing. Never been into FPS but this trailer alone has grabbed my attention due to the way it presented the atmosphere.

Well, gore is not so prevelant when someone is wearing layers of clothing. It would be more realistic to have holes in the clothing, bleeding across. Perhaps, they could extreme small details like shrapnel from a grenade sticking out of a hole in the material. Realism is a bit far. When someone gets shot, there is no big splat of blood. The bullet is too fast, and would rather exert energy where it exits. And if you wanted to heal in a, "realistic game", you would probably spend time picking pieces of the slug embedded in pieces in your character's skin. Until full virtual reality is a thing, these cannot be seen as fun, maybe immersive, but that is all.

+JamoZ NL I admit I still play dayz, but after seeing the "leaks" of the base building system, the introduction of bears and wolves! I have found myself so disheartened. I know dayz is a waste, hell, I had more fun playing Exile recently and will probably end up playing that instead for a while, but after seeing those "leaked videos" I have to say, FUCK DAYZ. Such a disappointment. I could put up with the bugs, the lag, the desync, the clitchers, the exploiters, the hackers... but I can't put up with lazy assed devs.

ajcarmageddon DayZ missed the hype train. Back when the mod was just released, it was fresh and unique. Now it`s surpassed by dozens of games that do what DayZ does, but better. Imo it was a horrible decision to continue with the arma engine. They will never recover from that choice. I went back to the DayZ mod last week, and was surprised on how many more features that has than the SA. After being in alpha for nearly 2 years, it`s almost shamefull that it`s still not better then the mod....

The base building is clunky and quite frankly awful. There are other games currently available, some mods and some AAA titles that have pulled base building off with expert style. DayZ devs have the money but have seemingly done very little with it. The wolves are hilariously bad as is the bear. What more is there to say? What possible enjoyment is there to get from this dying title? There is clearly something in my original comment that has hurt you deeply. Perhaps you are a little on the emotional side as you begin to realize the game is a sinking ship. +J Helmut or maybe he was able to see that fallout 4 was re-skinned fallout 3 with an emphasis on action gameplay rather than RPG elements. Maybe he was disappointed by only ever having 4 dialogue options with no real idea of what his character is going to say before he says it. There were plenty of things wrong with fallout 4 so stop shilling it to justify your purchase. It was a fine game but it did not deliver on any of the hype.

Quite literally, firefights in this game look like cinematics, because of how well the animations seemlessly blend. the damage is realistic where your not taking 50 bullets until you die, and (from what i can tell) when youre shot in certain spots, such as your leg, you start *actually limping* off of your un-injured leg. 10/10 for me.

I can't fuckin wait, is this the company that made Contract Wars? The forces they are using are the same, BEAR and USEC

Dumb opinion. 3rd person, can, and will most likely be implemented correctly. Just because you can't think of a way to add it in, doesn't mean the developers of the game can't.

This game is the perfect balance of Cheeki to Breeki. I give it Cyka/Blat

Human Whopper Any 3d engine is capable of these graphics. The real challenge is optimization. That's why most Unity games don't have very good graphics, they have to dumb down the graphics so the framerate is acceptable because Unity is optimized like shit.

I love the realistic animations and the audio! I don't want to get to hyped but damn this looks good.

This game looks amazing! Also the combat looks engaging and tactical and when you are hit it seems like that actually affects your character like if your shot in the leg your character limps like they would in real life.

The chamber check reminds me of Condemned: Criminal Originals. Now if they can just do incorporate a real-time management system like Alone in the Dark (2008). A way to check your body as to how much ammo you have. Inching more towards realism with inventory on ammo. Instead of a simple "reload", you literally have to choose the ammo from where it's placed on your body.
