I never understood animation complaints. Its as if we should watch animes as critics and analyzing animations etc and like it only if everything is perfect. Because fight and story behind it was so cool I only read people hated it long after I finished the anime. If I hated anything, its asspull of new characters like the 2 new demons teacher of meliodas and zeldris. Then demon king taking over their body then losing against 7 deadly sins when hes an ammighty god. As well as merlin and chaos bullshit.

Neel, you got to remember that the Demon King was talking mad shit to meliodas with his emotions in purgatory. He wants "the" Meliodas we have now without any emotions and stuff, that's why he is talking to Zeldris. Also just to clarify, in the manga Merlin said that the damage to Escanor was far greater than Meliodas received and stuff so she actually had to keep him unconscious or he would regenerate almost instantly and they wouldn't have Escanor this time cuz its past The One time. Remember that time Escanor fought Estarossa and he said he has to return to Lioness or so he thought he should. The One is the reason why he didnt went back.

20:41 clarification I do believe meliodas wasn't fully trying to kill escanor, some people said that if meliodas was trying to kill escanor, he would have died so much earlier, and wouldn't have made escanor transform to "THE ONE", apparently meliodas likes to toy with his opponent which as a result in this fight, he lost to "THE ONE" MISERABLY

Maybe, or, because he still has his memories, and didn’t intend on killing any of his friends, but just make it seem like he’s back on the demon side to get help from Zeldris to gather the commandments and turn into the demon king so he can attempt to remove the curses from him and Elisabeth. (Which is exactly what happens) If he hadn’t been forced into making some hasty decisions to obtain the commandments the fastest way possible, because of Elisabeth gaining her memories back sooner than expected, he wouldn’t even have fought Escanor, and acted like he was part of the demon clan once again.

Ok so when Meliodas fought Escanor you actually had it backwards. Escanor was going all out during the whole fight. As he got stronger Meliodas didn't really change anything. His fighting style is the same as it has always been, Meliodas essentially never goes all out. Based on what we know from later in the series, a serious Meliodas would just kill Escanor here. He wanted to see just how strong "The One" is and it caught him off guard. Plus this is "weak" Assault Mode Meliodas, as Merlin said toward the end of the episode he is still getting stronger, closer to the strength of his old self. Because of all this, it would be really cool to see a rematch of these 2 later in the series, so we could really know who would win??????????

@@TheHuntsman1001can’t wait till ppl see that Hinata was actually 40% in power cause she was doing a lot of damage to Rimuru before he awaken and she still did more in the second fight against him because she is a saint but I believe it was her putting on spirit armor and using legendary class sword which of course as a Saint it help them bring out their potential more as spiritual lifeforms the same goes for awaken Demon lords if they use not legendary class but mystical class armor or weapon it brings out more of their awaken class power only true demon lords and true heroes can use Mythical grade weapons and armor properly

The durability of the perfect cube impressed me more than any one of those attacks

If you haven't noticed, Meliodas's power level more than doubles each time he gets a power-up.

10:02 we’re only just seeing them because she just grew them. That’s what that scene was where she saved Ban. She awakened to her true power/final form (crazy how fairies basically poke evolve to adulthood rather than grow up normally lol…). She’s just like King, they’re both late bloomers. Mostly because of their massive latent potential. King’s the strongest Fairy King history’s seen so far, but Elaine is the strongest Fairy Princess. She’s clearly way stronger than Gerharde ever was or ever had the potential to be. You can kinda tell this just off her wings. Not only did they take so long to grow, but they’re much bigger and prettier and more intricate than normal fairies and even the previous Fairy princess. And wings tend to represent a fairy’s power. Before now we’ve literally only seen Fairy Kings (or just Gloxinia at this point I suppose) with wings like Elaine’s. She’s one of the strongest fairies in the series, only really below the Fairy Kings. I ain’t no power scaler but I can see that much :D

I get that you don't mind the change in animation quality but I just can't help to imagine how this fight would have looked with the same quality, fluidity and choreography as the first season fight between Ban and Meliodas.

@@Sociallybeast01 then clearly you havent seen all of the show. When escanor first joined the sins, meliodas challenged him to a fight and knocked his ass down in just one shot. Escanor even felt pain in his the one form and said how painful it was. Meliodas would always fight escanor whenever his power would go out of control. The only reason meliodas lost this fight was because he lost his memories, thus not knowing of his the one form. Meliodas also reverted back to who he once was, and as zeldris described him, “he was too strong for his own good and had a nasty habit of underestimating his opponents”. Meliodas wasnt taking escanor seriously in that fight

When the story was going, Escanor was powerful than meliodas until meliodas get his "True Magic" form or demon king form. He still went toe to toe against DK himself by using THE ONE. When he went to THE ONE ULTIMATE, DK can't do anything to him. So in this story, nobody dealing damage to him while he dealing damage to himself.

Even if he fought him seriously, he can't win at this moment of the story. Because Escanor power level was higher than meliodas and meliodas lost all of his emotions and memories, so he really don't know what Escanor can do at that moment. This people seriously doesn't know what is meaning of "Storyline Progression".

Well Netflix version is way better when it comes to animation improvement but on season 4 however the animation it's good until ban vs demonking meliodas that's when the animation stars to be bad

If Escanor didn't give a fuck and say you're dying here now, then they'll end up like Estarossa and Zeldris. All 3 brothers were defeated by Escanor. Estarossa didn't even get to see The One. In any case, Escanor turning into The One Escanor for the very first time was legit the most hype moment in the entire 7DS series. How he easily defeated Meliodas with a mere swipe of his hand sent literal chills to all fans, anime and manga alike. Best still he named the move after himself, meaning he himself, his body, is the ultimate weapon now.

Escanor: It took a lot of effort to destroy a character so stupidly. Now I'm sure that no matter how strong the enemy is, the author will pull another super-mega-gig attack out of nowhere and the character will be fine. One of the most hyped fight in the history of anime when i read the manga i had goosebumps all over my body i was soo exited i re read it mirror screening on a big screen tv with my nephew then i heard about the season 3 and was soo goddamn exited i was yesss we're getting the fight of the year i was more hyped for that then naruto vs pain or ichigo vs aizen i ever was but then they gave us this absolute garbage i was soo pissed i wrote a 500 words letter to the studio cursin en i know its wrong but idk i really really do wish they re animate the entire season some day in the future Soo for now anyone was also pissed i recommend playing seven deadly sins grand cross its a mobile gacha game i know shitty right but they did soo much justice to the cut scene animation for the entire fight of season 3 you feel they were like yea anime didn't do it let us a mobile game do it and they did😂

I did not watch your earliervideos but yes, that's what merlin meant when she noticed, increasing power levels, 40k 50k 55k 60k etc. She said its definitely him, because sun was getting high and thus his power levels were increasing. So so many people misunderstood a lot of things in this series and also blamed bad animations at later seasons and downgraded this anime. Although not demons etc, but the story at high level matches the story of King Arthur, Meliodas and his Kid Tristan etc from Arthurian legend in the 12th-century Brittania.

Yeah thats right. Meliodas would always fight escanor whenever he lost control of his power. But since meliodas lost his memories, he didnt know what to expect, and since he reverted to his old self, he just played around with escanor not taking him seriously

This ep kinda pisses me off about Meliodas losing I get it I get it it's for the plot but if only Meliodas didn't lose his memories and emotions he would have been able to release his true demon power because currently right now his Assault mode power level is only 142,000 and Escanor The One is 210,000 but his True Assault Mode back 3000 years ago was 385,000 (with only the half mark) but with the full demon mark his power lv is 442,000 soo if didn't lose his memories and emotions he would have won easily (Edit) In the manga, Merlin said that if she didn't keep Meliodas unconscious Meliodas would have regenerated to Escanor's attack instantly
