"Escalation For Escalation..." Iraqi Armed Groups Warn Israel Against War With Hezbollah In Lebanon
Lebanese militant outfit Hezbollah said it fired more than 100 rockets at Israeli positions on July 3. The massive barrage came after the killing of a senior Hezbollah commander in an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah said it attacked two positions in the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights "with 100 Katyusha rockets." The Lebanese militant group also claimed to have fired "Falaq rockets" and heavy-duty Burkan missiles at two military sites in northern Israel.
An Israeli military spokesperson told AFP that about 100 rocket launches had been made towards Israel from Lebanon. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said most of the rockets hit open areas, although some struck the Kiryat Shmona area. An Israeli army statement said emergency services were "operating to extinguish a number of fires" caused by one of the attacks in Kiryat Shmona.
Israel later sent fighter jets across the border to strike “three Hezbollah rocket launchers” in southern Lebanon, said the IDF. The strikes carried out on the evening of July 3 also hit one of the launchers used in the barrages launched towards northern Israel, the IDF added.

@@sdwone Thanks for your comments. You may be interested to know that out of 1,763 known/recorded conflicts only 6.87% had religion as their primary reason. Atheistic regimes however, deaths as follows: Under Stalin - 23 to 32 million. Under Mao Zedong - 40 to 80 million. Under Pol Pot - 1.5 to 3 million. Wars are a result of man's sin which is in us all, and that's why Jesus came to die on the cross and took the punishment that we deserve. Faith in Jesus is never private, but it is personal as each of us need to have a relationship with God by accepting what Jesus did on the cross.

Most scholars, Christian, non-Christian, and secular alike, believe that there was a historical Jesus. The evidence is overwhelming. Jesus was written about by ancient historians, including Josephus and Tacitus. From an historical standpoint, there is hardly any question: there really was a man named Jesus who lived in first-century Israel. The manuscript evidence for the authenticity of the New Testament is overwhelming: there are about 25,000 early manuscripts of the New Testament. In comparison, the Gallic Wars written by Caesar in the first century BC, only has 10 early manuscripts existing-and the earliest one of those was written 1,000 years after the original. Similarly, Aristotle’s Poetics only has five early manuscripts in existence, dating to 1,400 years after the original. Those who doubt that Jesus is real must also question the existence of Julius Caesar and Aristotle.
