I agree! Albania 2012 was WOW! Best Albanian entry ever in ESC! Spain was amazing too! I had Spain 4th in 2012, behind Sweden (1st), Albania (2nd) and Estonia (3rd). Jake, I really recomend you watch both Albania and Estonia 2012, both were very artistic and classy.

I remember on the night of the final I thought "yeah she is good, but the notes are not as impressive as Albania". Since then I have learned to repsect this song more

one of the best songs of Eurovision, and one of the best voices!

Spain was my winner that year. I voted for her so many times and I remember watching this crying.

I cannot be partial because I am Spanish, but it is surely one of the best performances in the history of the festival. It was literally perfect.

i still can't believe that those grandmas from Russia got second place and this AMAZING song from Spain got 10th.

because people like to vote for shit Russian songs, too many neighbours (10 ex-soviet countries+huge diaspora+former Warsaw pact sympathizers+Serbia and Bulgaria). Diaspora clowns bother to vote 20 times for a song, when an ordinary person might not vote more than once or twice per song.

I remember that moment like that Spaniard living in South Africa. I was in a restaurant and the body sneered at me. The South African people applauded and sang Spain winning. It is one of the most beautiful moments I have lived in my life. I just cried for joy of being Spanish

Well, I think Jake also needs to give San Marino 2012 a reaction if he's planning to do 2012 the same way he did 2016 and is planning to do the next few years, because it's a "special" song, to say the least and it can't be relegated to a 3-second clip. Hell, all of Valentina's songs are something and deserve their own reactions even if 3/4 stayed in the semis.

Incredible, perfection... shame on the contest...if she had sung for saxon countries, she would have won... political... in 1973, the same, mocedades recognized all over te world with eres tu had to win so, but political as for karina in 1971, as good as severine. This is why lot of People don t watch this political contest. Sure for all spanish I say, pastora this year, the right winner.

One of rare songs that are so good but disgracefully undermarked and deserved a much higher placing.

The 2012 contest was of a very high standard but the results were bizarre. For me, Spain being 10th was ridiculous. Spain should've won. Loreen is a superb singer however the song was dated. It sounds more like a 90's club song. I remember back to the 70s when Eurovision was taken seriously because quality songs and performers won the contest each year and the winning song was a hit all over Europe inc the UK. But if Russia's entry in 2012 can get more votes than Spain, Azerbaijan, Germany, Albania & Estonia then Eurovision deserves to be forgotten the day after the contest, which is what happens now.

2012 is one of Eurovision's strongest years, imo. I still listen to over half the songs. There were a lot of ballads, so powerful vocals were very much on display. I, like many others have said, highly recommend Albania and FYR Macedonia as well. Random suggestion: United Kingdom 2013 - it was Bonnie Tyler! Quietly hoping for Italy 1956 and Germany 1979.

Not the highest, not the longest, but one of the most memorable notes in the entire history of Eurovision. Everything in that song is thought so that you remember that note. 8 years have passed and I remember it perfectly without watching the video. I will be 60 years old and will remember it perfectly. The bad thing is that you do not value the rest of the song so much still being very impressive vocally.

You should also try Spain 2014. Dancing in the Rain was equally as great and as underrated as Quedate Conmigo

By far my favourite entry from 2012 & my favourite ever entry from Spain with Ruth Lorenzo (ESC 2014) in a close 2nd

When I sing that song in the comfort of my four walls, often times the tears do come. That‘s how much power that song has! SHE IS INCREDIBLE!

I agree, the general public tend to vote for quirky/dance track or simply bloody awful ('18), leaving the genuine winner far behind. The bearded dress guy risin' like a phoenix wasn't my taste but he had a reasonable voice.

You can see the magical hand of Thomas G:Son (swedish composer) on this masterpiece. Please check the meaning of the lyrics. It's a really beautiful love song.
