For my sins I avoided e.s.t. on the grounds they were "too modern" then one day braved listening to Tide of Trepidation when it popped up on KZread. Immediately hooked. Then immediately destroyed having realised Esbjorn had already passed. My favourite trio, always will be. I have all heir albums, plus Magnus' and Rymden's. I never got to see e.s.t. because of the reason stated above but was fortunate to see and meet Magnus earlier this year. Favourite track IS Behind the Yashmak, plus Seven Days of Falling, From Gagarin's Point of View, Gold Hearted Miner.
It's a pity that E.S.T. doesn't get much views. One of the best piano trios of all time, and I think that's an opinion shared by more than just me. I own at least half their discography. This was my introduction to Euro jazz. I wish NA jazz paid this much attention to melodic immersion.

Just look at your reaction and comments! As EST fan this tune, music turn my soul upside down by it’s virtuosity and journey! You shouldn’t comment what you seem to not understand at all! It’s not about piano or drums and double bass, it’s beyond, behind …the Yasmak!
