True, since Leo always activates ultra instinct to make a comeback, in this match he activated Super Saiyan Blue against Golden Frieza, cuz they were going back and forth, almost evenly matched

Two of the nicest guys, two of my favorite characters in this game, and one of my favorite characters in general wins! Such a great match!

i was looking forward to this match for so long,ggs to both players they did amazing.

Love how happy ESAM looks giving Leo the handshake. He knows he played great, just not great enough.

One of the best showings of pure skill by both players I've ever seen in ultimate.

Esam is the prime example of how a FGC competitor should be. Works hard, good sportsmanship, and to top it off he makes good content and has a colorful personality

This match was exiting the entire time. Very epic.

ESAM seems like a really friendly player. I don't watch these often so correct me if I am wrong, but to me he looks like a good sport.

@@zanioxl3663 completely disagree, I think it's DEFINITELY 40:60, potentially jokers only true -1 matchup. Pika abuses every one of jokers weaknesses and dominates him offstage, and joker really struggles to get projectile chip damage or big conversions off his combo starters with how small pikachus hurtbox is.

If pika had as much damage output as pichu, this game would have been over. I find that pika is a mid tier solely based on his low damage output.

He has secured his spot for 9th, but i wonder if he can keep going. He has to fight tweek next, who he has beaten before at genesis 6. That was long ago so who knows if ESAM can handle tweek now. I'm excited to see. I like how leo stayed with joker. So much for practicing his secondary. Actually, i thought leo was going hero this tourney...

ESAM was definitely impressive. Pikachu is certainly a top tier in this game and ESAM is putting in the work!

the way leo recovered after getting triple backaired was crazy

That last stock was freakishly dominant. Leo unlocked Ultra Instinct and SSB Evolution at the same time.

Really interesting how ESAM could challenge MKleo attempte to use is NAIR/FAIR with Pickachu also he was really agresive when MKleo was off the stage but finish to adapt against this stragegy. I think if ESAM could persiv it and also adapt it (probably trying to grab more) he could have win.

So I’m trying to main joker. Can anyone give a few tips on how to get better? Thanks
