Honestly his off stage decision making, especially in disadvantage is probably the most impressive I've ever seen considering his character. The amount of mixup he has to do vs Snake Nikita, and Pikachu existing is probably so taxing. I main falcon and disadvantage state is my biggest flaw, and he makes it look like child's play

This is a hard matchup for falcon so props to fatality for swerving around that rat.

To be fair, the pika played really clean the entire set. Missed tech to jablock, shove offstage to ledge trump dair. Took one missed tech at a low percent and turned it into a stock gone. Dair to fair is satisfying (idk I don't play or like falcon much), but done on esam is nice as well, depending on what one sees joy as

For various reasons but you know thats the game. I been playing since smash 64 so pikachus always been there grinding everyones gears. I personally love falcon and playin him sometimes online just because I think every move he has is awesome and low frame data so you can have alot of fun with him.

I'd have to slightly disagree about being egotistical. True, he can be the villain, but rarely is he all evil. Where there is light, there is darkness as well. Although I will say that hating smash 64 pika can be far more understandable. But you also have to know something: how good or bad a character is influences a little, but what matters more is who plays them. People tell others like me who struggle with Marth to just play lucina. Some other people who try their best with Ganon are just asked to play falcon. It won't matter too much if they still lose with those characters. If anything, that gives them less of a chance for people to give them good advice and sympathy

14:08 , he autocancels with nair (I think it's nair) and uses it to preemptively whiff punish the upcoming down tilt. The legend. There was so much microspacing and instant turnaraounds throughout, shit was crazy.

@@GawainSSB And I'm pretty sure he used short empty backward jumps (not only to use bair but also) to avoid thunderjolt because falcon tucks into a ball when we does that. Don't know the actual hurtbox for it, but damn it was clean.

I think most top 10 players dropping has made it more entertaining to watch, with Leo, as much as I love him, he's got a really high chance of winning and this tournament really put it up in the air who could win it

@@lugger3153 There's pros and cons to it. Pros being we get to see lower ranked players do well in a tournament due to the lack of the TOP top players in attendance. Main con being that the wins overall mean less since they didn't have to go through the top players to earn it. CEO can be classified as a Major tournament due to number of entrance, but the impact towards PGR placements is much lower since there's fewer "notable wins" in this tournament. Kola won CEO, but he was the highest rated player at the tourney (going off current projected PGR placements) and he didn't have to beat any top 10 players to win this tourney.

Pikachu main here, Fatality played this mu extremely extremely well. He has an excellent understanding of pika’s combo game and DI’d like a god. He was able to punish esam’s normally super safe aerials very well and much much more. Fatality just outplayed esam.

Fatality a homie for making sure Esam doesn’t have to go Boxing Ring

Fatality deserves this so much with all the practice he puts in, it’s really paying off

Comparing Esam to Usain Bolt doesn't really work ya know...Usain bolt being the fastest man alive and Esam not even close to best smash ultimate player. Also Fatality would be much closer than a high schooler in this scenario.

I am unbelievably happy for Fatality honestly. ESAM played a fantastic game, and Fatality had a massive battle to fight with both the matchup and the pressure, and he absolutely nailed it. Mad props. ...can we talk about ESAMs DI real quick? Dude was living Falcon Dash attack at 170, lowkey insane (fixed SDI, I'm dumb)

I love seeing the celebrations for Fatality, including Kola who is hyped for his GA competition. This tournament was incredible despite some big names missing from bracket.

It's not that Fatality beat Pikachu with Falcon, it's that he did it against the best Pika in the world, who is also a top 20 player.

If boxing ring was legal I'm sure ESAM could've got the W easy

Because ESAM plays unconsistently, like in this set he had like 3 spikes where Fatality was recovering dodging in the same direction, but Esam missed him all the times expecting a mix up that never came. Fatality played very well, but also Esam made a lot of mistakes.

@@mathunit1 Nah, he is top 3 at worst xD You can see in this set where Falcon's out of shield Up B doesn't hit because of Pikachu's hitbox like 3 times.

Holy crap you can really see how hard Fatality has worked for this not only by training for this MU but also you can tell he has studied esams habits(even though he was ready for them and read them sometimes Pika was still able to just mash attacks for free but that’s besides the point)

SDI is the future vs Pickachu, especially if you have a Slight losing matchup like Cloud or Falcon

I like how not too long ago, Esam made a video and mentioned that Nick C is the best Falcon. It's like he purposely descredited Fatality or something, as Fatality has been the best for a while now. Maybe this is what it takes for Esam to finally recognise Fatality for what he truly is.
