If I'm being honest i believe she was talking about the Black race. Before the history of our slavery we were Gods, Kings, and Queens. She is saying that many people fear us, whether because of stereotypes or simply because of abilities and capability. We are a "threat" to intellects and white supremacy itself. We are feared for being Gods or God-like Aaron Jaben

If you literally knew nothing, how would you function? And how would you know the truth to be able to be set free? One quote that's often reworded that sounds "woke" but is really a dumb saying. Why not, instead of saying you know nothing to say that you know the truth, but that you are still ignorant of most knowledge of the truth.

@@islandbreeze5331 I know knowledge is wealth, I wrote 'imagine if we lived in a world that knows it too'. We live in a world that is contemptuous of knowledge & truth--this world prefers power over knowledge, and comforting lies over the truth. Also, wealth is overwhelmingly inherited--wealthy people have money because they were born into wealth. And the origins of most wealth is not knowledge, it's EXPLOITATION, especially exploitation of poor people of colour around the world.

It’s always dumbfounded me how gorgeous Badu is. I remember being like 6 years old and seeing her in Blues Brothers (my fav movie) for the first time and 25 years later I’m still dumbfounded. She’s a goddess.

Happy 25th Anniversary to one of the greatest albums from any genre of all time. "Baduizm" turns 25 today and I just remember Ma Dukes lighting sage, preparing premade extensions for her hairdressing customers while my weird ahh was there vibing with her and listening to this album. A lot of fond childhood memories tied to this one. This definitely forever special.

People don't realize Erykah Badu is 52 and has been making music for decades! Saw her 25 years ago at Lilith Faire; she is still just as good now as she was then.

***** Born under water with 3 dollars and 6 dimes means she's a woman (9) who came from a woman. The man who knows nothing knows that he knows nothing at all (this was an ancient African philosophical saying, kind of like saying the more I learn the more I realize I know nothing) If we are created in his image then call us by our names, the people who are created in God's image are a reflection of who God is but since intellectuals don't believe in God they still fear those created in God's image as if they are God.

2024 and I'm STILL here. 🎉 This is another NOSTALGIC, TIMELESS, CLASSIC! 😩🤞🏾💞🤞🏾 Mannn, I knew I was something special when I was a little girl, my stepmom loved Erykah Badu, and her music touched me n resonated with me. I miss that era, and what a time to be alive. "Most intellects do not believe in God, but they fear US just the same." Because we are God's chosen people.
