Opry's Ernie Ashworth dies Monday, March 2, 2009 Ernie Ashworth, longtime star of the Grand Ole Opry, died in Nashville today at 80. Ashworth's heyday was in the 1960s with the number 1 song Talk Back Trembling Lips.
Great song, great hit and I love it!!!
I saw him in the background of another video and saw that he looked so happy ... I always wondered who he was. I'm so harpy I found this! Thank you!
So true that is that you don't just listen to country music and that it sinks into your soul. My whole spirit is based on country music with the biggest part being the Aaron Tippen song, l got it honest . Because brother if I didn't earn it I DON'T WANT IT !
WHY CAN'T THEY MAKE AND SING GREAT MUSIC LIKE THIS TODAY!!!!!! THIS IS REAL COUNTRY NOT THE CRAP OF TODAY!!!!!!!! RIP MR. ASHWORTH
Vince was there to show he still was real country and not a sell out like all of the younger artists are.

Vince ain't young.
He sung better at that age than any modern "country artist" has ever sang.
His hairpiece is much better in this clip than it was in 1963.
Johnny Tillotson had a hit with this song, reaching No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. Ernie Ashworth's version spent 35 weeks on the Billboard Country Charts, but just missed reaching the Billboard Hot 100.
That lady is Carol Lee Cooper daughter of Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper Carol Lee did a huge amount of back up singing on the Opry!
Well said Jean seally
