    Bam's development in this playoff has been amazing. No one is giving him credit for their defense where AD is getting all the credit for the Lakers defense. He has no made the silly offensive mistakes he used to, he is locked in where he used to be inconsistent. Incredible development from him. Most improved player in the playoffs

    While a lot of teams like the timberwolves and 76ers are notorious for tanking, Miami has never tried to tank. Even when their best players were Dragic and Whiteside, Spoelstra elevated their games and they went onto a couple playoffs that time. Shows why this organization is doing better than the 76ers and the timberwolves. Even without all the multiple number 1 draft picks. Spoelstra will go down as one of the greatest coaches.

    Thing that makes them different is they know how to develop players, it's not like Miami hasn't missed the playoffs but when they do they make their picks count look at Bam and Herro, even before them they had Josh Richardson which they traded for Jimmy and Winslow who they traded for Iggy and Crowder, then Achiuwa for Lowry who all contributed for them at some point to winning, they develop them well and when they can they're not scared of trading those young guys for the right vets...they just know how to win I know it's cliche but they have the best culture in the league

    During The Process, the Sixers drafted/acquired like half a dozen top 10 picks and all turned into busts except Embiid. The only thing they got from all those miserable tanking years were just 2nd round appearances (so far).

    @duanedoldrum7570

    @@thebasketballhistorian3291 This is why I think tanking is just straight up dogshit. Miami’s culture of trying to win a ring every season should be the standard. If you don’t win the ring at the end of the season, you at least get another jump of improvement and culture of playing hard by trying to win all the time, whereas trying to lose all the time for picks just creates a losing environment and generally a lazy culture.

And while I was at a Heat game, in which was one of the Finals games, back in 2013, I went up to him and told him about that nickname, and later said "I wished you would've married a woman who looked like Lucille Ball, and you'd bring Lucy and Ricky to life, again!", and he chuckled about it, and sort of saw the resemblance, but he still got the joke. I've been at that nickame for years, and to this day, I still see him as a great head coach, for the Miami Heat.

This guy is carrying a team consisting of 2nd rounders, waived, and unsigned to the Finals. And he has been doing this for years.

    He’s been the best coach in basketball you clowns only mention it when it’s convenient or there’s nothing left to talk about. He has no CoTY awards and I wonder why that is, possibly has something to do with ESPN campaigning for other coaches every year even though Spoelstra is coaching circles around them.

    I love Spo. His team is dominating right now. But.... you've got a few all-NBA caliber players, and only finish bottom in the regular season standings? Not quite sure what that means. Is he just lucky in the playoffs, they suddenly got better without Herro and Olidipo, or they underachieved regular season???

    @@theresabaer2373 Could not agree with you more. USA is the only nation that crowns champions from the playoff system. Playoffs are fun, but tournaments really should be separate from a long regular season that really determines who is the best. That being said, being so inconsistent and crushing it in the finals is remarkable. Just comes down to luck or circumstance based on previous six months

    These NBA "experts" overthinking, doing astrophysics, trying to figure out how the heat doing this. The Heat just a better team and has the best player in the playoffs. Everything doesn't have to be complicated, because its not. Jimmy is on an MJ/KOBE tear because he the first player to have that killer in him, on the same level, since those guys. But no one wants to admit it.
