I realize this was probably just a poorly thought out attempt to virtue signal, but anyone belittling suicides, has no virtue IMHO. This is one of the most poorly addressed (mostly male) problems in our society and the main reason why most men struggle with the idea that women are unequally treated. If you want to virtue signal, please look at your partner, father, brothers, sons and relatives. It is statistically probable that at least 2 of them are considering suicide. Try doing something to make them feel their lives are important, rather than pandering to your own need for virtue.

This right here is exactly what we get for allowing this whole idea of a "career politician" to exist. All political offices should be held by ordinary people for no more than four years, who go back to their regular jobs and lives once it's over, never to be allowed to serve again, (except maybe two terms in certain positions). The American people have allowed and are STILL allowing this to happen. We keep electing these idiots and not caring about ourselves, our future, or even the rest of the world. It won't be fixed until a new government is established.

We sort of have that system in place, it is called voting, I think there should be an age limit in place. I also think the money influencing votes has to be stopped.

This would be a different country if politicians were paid by how well the country does year after year, by a matrix to assess improvements in every category. Same for state and local.

@@swedejohanson7739 First Armored Division spent 15 months in Iraq from 03-04. We spent months there is soft sided vehicles, losing people weekly to IEDs. They finally started bringing in up armored systems after, I believe Donald Rumsfield , made some remarks about going to war with the forces we have not the forces we wish we had. If we are so short on these vehicles, and it takes so long to get them into theater to protect service members lives, why did we leave so many of them behind for the useless locals at the end? Answer, because somewhere Donny boy and all the other washington eiltes on both sides of he aisle were making a buck off of the taxpayer. We brought all of those soft sided vehicles back, so the next time the units were deployed we would have to buy new ones again.

As a Brit I have been following as much as I can of what has happened and is continuing. All the top military I have seen giving their comments, seem to be more politicians working for Biden, in a military uniform. They certainly don't come across as military leaders.

my brother Ed was one Vietnam took..and i can Assure you a Lot more died there than 60,000....they Never tell the Honest Number...Ever. This was told to us by a General who gave dad Eddies Medals...he told us on the day my brother died...so did 1200 Others...which did Not make the news. The US announced something like 17 killed in action but Marines in that Unit that I served with on Mess duty said it was far more. Who knows what to believe anymore.

This reminds me somewhat of Operation Market Garden in Autumn 1944. It turned out to be a massive failure, hastily designed by the usually cautious Gen. Montgomery. Sure is a lot better than the previous four. I got tired of the constant chaos and corruption. It's no surprise Trump is ranked 42nd on the list of 'best presidents'.

We all know that will never happen. Our infrastructure is in complete disarray and cities dead from lack of work. Drug dealing and service work not included. This has been a planned dismantling of our nation.

@@susannaschnell4147 No not a dismantling. The problem is greed is catching up to us! We are now a country of unaffordables: Unaffordable housing, daycare, medical care and education. We have an increase in the homeless population and the rich fly to space in multi-billion dollar space ships for fun.
