@LocalBandSmokeout Erik won Swedish Idol, then was lead singer of the Swedish rock band H.E.A.T for 10 years. He then was diagnosed with cancer and is now cancer free. He then became the lead singer of Skid Row. He recently left to focus on this health.

Erik did a fantastic job with this cover, he managed to bring in emotion of Dolly's original and keep the power of Whitney's version. He did a fantastic cover of Sabaton's Carolus Rex together with Sabaton's ex guitarist Tommy Johansson, I highly recommend checking it out. He has more great covers, like Headless Cross (Black Sabbath) and many more
Dolly did write the song and first recorded it. One special lady.Then Whitney recorded it for the Bodyguard movie and Dolly made lots of money🤣. I actually love Erik's version. Everything is perfect- his vocals and the sax. I discovered Erik with my journey of Dan Vasc. Erik singing this song is giving me the same joy and goosebumps as Dan singing Amazing Grace. ❤ from a 🇨🇦 Grammy
Eric is fantastic singer 😀. I suggest a reaction to an other swedish singer and multiinstrumentalist Tommy Johansson, he was a leadguitarist for Sabaton for 7 years. Now his focus is on his own band Majestica and ofcourse release a new cover every friday. Eric and Tommy made a fantastic cover of a Sabaton hit a few week ago. You want regret it 👍

Eric Grönwall was the winner of Swedish Idol 2009. He is from Sweden and rock and metal Singer. ❤
He did an amazing job with this one, not to mention the saxophonist. And just what @shieldmaiden83 said, the song Breaking the Silence by Dan Vasc and Erik a beautiful song too. Thank you!!

You should even look/listen to this 👇👇👇 WITHOUT YOU (Mariah Carey Rock Cover) These two covers by Erik are really amazing. Erik won Swedish Idol 2009. Between the years 2010 and 2020, he was the frontman in the rock band H.E.A.T. Between March 2022 and March 2024, he was the singer and frontman of the band Skid Row. In March 2024, Erik announced that he was leaving Skid Row for health reasons after being diagnosed with leukemia. Today he is healthy but restrained due to the sequelae of the illness.
By far, the best cover of this awesome song by far.
