“Heartless, lazy, or stupid”....! That appropriately describes those who violate the handicap parking law.

Add to the sign stating a HUGE fine....1,000 and up. Second offense...double....

These fines need to be increased.

Well done to the officers for enforcing this. As a UK disabled visitor to the US, I find that my UK disabled parking permit is accepted and respected - thank you.

Rase the fee to 1000.00 or more. That should put a stop to it. Whatever state your in your being way to nice to these people who park in handicap spots without a placard or tags. Way to nice. You won’t stop it with such small fines.

I say....Ticket, Take and Tow....Ticket the person , Take their license and or place card and tow their vehicle.

Out and about yesterday taking care of business I found maybe 6 or more instances of healthy appearing people abusing handicap parking placards in my small area. Being a disabled combat veteran I too rely on these spots as well myself. To make it worse is when I get scowled at by some of those very same folks when I glare disapprovingly at them when I make eye contact with them for their misdeeds.

I wish that the government and police forces, here in Britain, would have the guts to enforce the Blue Badge rules. But alas, they deem the misuse of these badges, as a very low priority. I am a disabled ex British Army Veteran and I consider my badge as a valuable asset and I would never allow it to be abused. From Chris in Derbyshire, England.

Wow these ppl are a joke $75 dollars for parking in a handicap spot y’all should and can do better then that.

I heard that you can face an $880 ticket for illegal parking in Handicapped Zones in San Francisco.

$430 in CA for Handicap violators

Try a new citizen volunteer program, this will earn much more than increasing the fine. Should be a program to have volunteers taking a class to be able to give out parking tickets anywhere they see illegal parking. Most police do not seem to make much of an effort to make time to check it! I see many illegal handicap parking in supermarket stores, malls, downtown street parking.

Assuming the volunteers are trained to spot people ACTUALLY parking illegally, From what I've seen people like to play handiicap parking police and determine rather or not someone parking in disabled parking WITH a hangtag or placard 1, really "needs the disability parking " or 2. if they're using someone else's . People who do this shouldn't be allowed to do this volunteer thing.

Raise the premium! 150💲 is too little at least double, it will sting!
