You might not see this but I been watching your videos for almost 10+ years . I’ve had more losses then wins. I’ve stayed consistent and true to my path. Through the pain I look to these videos to uplift me. It’s still in a uphill battle but I want to say THANK YOU for keeping me go. This is the best motivation! I listen everyday! Making a huge career change in my late 30's and returning to college was the biggest scariest move I had made in my life, but I have a dream to be a teacher and I intend to continue to chase my dream! Thank you!

I believe what ET meant about not having a say is: learn to PICK which conversations you want fully engage in. You could argue all day with some people, but often it's not worth it. Sometimes I have to just drop the ego, step back and remember "we both want a good outcome, I'm not going to jeopardize it" Evaluate every situation, it certainly helps if you've done the assessment. Examples of why it's useful (me & my dad): I'm a High C (detail oriented, analytical), High D, High S, and low I. When I'm near my dad (super chatty,, talkative), I have to remember to follow his flow and acknowledge him, since most people with medium to high I's get their energy from interacting with people as opposed to Low I's who get most of their energy from solitude and reflecting. We all are wired differently and learning to navigate yourself in different situations and environments, because you invested in studying yourself and others, is an amazing skill that carries over into everywhere in life.

Dr.Eric. I listen to you daily. I connect to your teachings. I have two young men 14 and 11. Both have been shown your videos. Both feel mom is over-reacting about their future. I and my husband their father were not born with silver spoons in their mouth. My husband has had to be an adult since he was 13 years old. I was fortunate not to until I was in my early twenties. Long story short. We don’t spoil our four children. Two boys and two girls, but our boys don’t take our mistakes that we share to heart. They feel as if life is easy, despite the fact mom works three jobs and their dad works non-stop. Asking for advise. We really don’t wish for them both to struggle in this world, but they don’t put 100% or 120% on their school work, much less their everyday chores. I am not feeling guilty by any means we speak and show them how hard it is to support a family and struggles we face; work family balance. Thank you for all you and your team do!!!!!! So many men watch this and all they hear is that they will have a little less control and their ego freaks out. You aren't getting it, he's saying pick your battles and stop trying to micromanage other people. I think we would all be a lot better if could or would only admit it as you did. We don't want to admit it because we would then have to admit the work that is attached to it. Acknowledgment, of anything, is over half the battle. so I would say you are more grown than many of us.

ET If I didn't hear your speeches everyday i dont know what i would do cause ain't nobody else positive nowadays around me.

Disc is the truth 👍 I took disc and literally saw why my husband and I get into so many disagreements - just like how ET was saying that he can 100% wipe out an argument by just not getting into his opinion. I like to explain things and my husband’s personality type (and why he’s so successful in his life) just wants a yes or no. I saw in disc how and why we are different but to ET’s point, those differences are strengths that can be leveraged for the greater good of the marriage, love, and life 💕

Boom! 👌 There you go. I needed to hear this Eric. Learnt a big lesson with my eldest daughter this year. When I see my 10 year old understand business and doing her own thing for her company she ain't playing she wants what she wants. She reads and studies. She is committed to showing up to life in ways her older sister should be doing. Incredible. From this day forward I will not have a say in her life or view point. Yep, she will come and find me when she is gets stuck.

When my husband has a mood, I step back. I know that my confronting him will not redirect his mood, but agitate him. Agitation leads to anger. I KNOW him. I let him work through his mood, and when he gets in his truck, and looks in that mirror, he knows. He knows and he will reflect all day. When we come back together I the evening, there is only one of us that needs to apologize for hurtful words. Then we move on. KNOW your partner. Walk in light and not anger. Read, study and ACT.

Aladin, in videos when he refers to certain things about how his relationship you can see that he's very submissive, also her personality type is a "gorilla", she's the dominant one and he doesn't like conflict. This does not apply to every man, which is your, mine and other's cases, I do have my views, I have a mind of my own and I as an introverted I do not give up on things that drain my energy just to please (or make "happy") whoever I'm dating. If you don't want to do something the other person should respect your choices and consider that she/he does not own you. If they feel social pressure to go to an event, they should not try transfer that to you.

Ignore the "who asked you comments", your opinion is valid. However you missed the point of his lecture. She is not controlling him, he is just picking what battles to fight based on their personalities. What he chooses above all is love and his commitment to his wife. He doesnt see it as control because hes owned his part in the union. At any point he can switch it up. The power is in his decision to submit and compromise

I think it’s more of a working together to make sure the bigger picture is the focal point (the war) and not arguing or trying to make a point to be right all the time (the battle). Communicating in a way that works for both parties to feel they are important. If it works for him that’s great, might not work for others.
