This is one of the purest guitar "conversations" ever recorded. Pure joy. Ego? Nah. Call and response in the most complimentary way from each gentleman.

This is one of the best jam ever! The tone of Rivera Amp is awesome!!!!

Gales stops playing and his Jaw drops at 14:45.... How could it not? Koch is a Monster. Mad respect!

Eric Gales is one of the most colorful guitar players around. You can tell he has pure love for what hes doin. I bet hes a blast to be around too.

I’ve been playing guitar for almost 40 years. Professional for most of those years. I’d have to say that was probably the best guitar performance I have ever witnessed. Crazy, inspiring, technical and just tasty with crazy feel and groove. I have been truly blessed to have seen this. 😎👍🏼

Koch and Gales should record together. Eric was feeling it when he realized Greg was down with his version of the song. Truly awesome. Would like to hear that worked up with a full band and put some volume to it

I'd have to throw Andy Wood's name in that conversation, and Brent Mason..But man, Greg is seriously scary as hell in his "zone", a true master of his instrument. Complete command of his fretboard & note choices.

I haven't been this blown away watching two guitar players improvise off each other since I first saw Al DiMeola and Paco DeLucia playing Mediterranean Sundance / Rio Ancho back in the early 80s. Eric and Greg are two of the greatest guitarists of this generation, no question. When Eric stopped and watched Greg rip at 14:47, I had a huge smile on my face.

from what i have seen so far , i thought it was Eric Gale at 1st ,, Gales captures everything , Hooker, BB King ,Chuck Berry, Hendrix. P Funk ? , on & on ,he just storms through it , it feels "Real too, no rendition or recital , its like he has become the embodiment therein , Eric Gales is the man , "about time too , thank you ,

“Kochery Gales” album, one day hopefully the dream becomes reality. This is hands down my favorite jam between two guitarists that I’ve ever heard in my life! Can’t believe I just said that but this wasn’t only technically mind blowing, this was musically absolutely insanely genius. Two such mad geniuses playing together, the perfect storm... how they read each other, how real it was, there are no powerful enough words to express what I just witnessed... boy am I grateful I did 🙏... now to watch it again!

This is the icing on the cake for me I can't afford anybody to play for me but KZread gave me the greatest gift when he let two guitar God play le this and it hit my ears in the most melodic way.i can't remember when but it has mesmerized me into something I want to be or use to be in another life.But thank you God for giving me the opportunity to get this one in.i love both y'all guitar gods.play on n on n on.i love it.thank y'all so much.thank you gGod for giving me the opportunity to hear and love every minute of it.be blessed till infinity crosses over.i just hope I get to play one day.peace

Guitar heroes.. How about inspiration to pick up a guitar and play. As much as I'm no fan of some of the marketing of guitars, when it comes to some of the finish being prematurely worn away, almost all of the reason I'm encouraged to go play more guitar is because of videos like this. Greg is an amazing player and Eric is from another planet. Together they were magic. Thank you for this amazing free entertainment and encouragement to go play...after I watch this video one more time:-)

I know this post is 3 years old, but I just found this and really appreciated this inspirational musical conversation between to genius guitarists!

The synergy of this jam is totally off the charts! If you close your eyes, it almost sounds like one person with 4 arms playing a double-neck guitar. They're both excellent listeners, and highly skilled at adapting almost instantaneously.

WOW!! Simply mind blowing display of immense talent and musicality ...straight from the heart and soul of two equally amazing musicians. Thanks for sharing this with us mere mortals.....ummm did I say WOW already?! WOW!!!! :)
