The biggest pain a man cold have, could made the most beautiful lirycs and music 😢😢
What a heart felt and wonderful song. I pray Eric's son is at peace!! I believe he is!!!! Eric handled this with class!!! He is stronger than most men!!!!!
He is the strongest man out there. When this happened he was a recovering alcoholic and drug addict and he remained clean and sober through it all. I'll be honest I don't know if I could've.

I saw him shortly after he began touring after this awful trajedy Bawled my eyes out through out this songI really dont think I could have played it. I assume it was his outlet for his grief in a way. Hes a master. I have seen him 5 times. Im a lucky woman. .

He was high on cocaine, and hes son fall out the window.
It's always good to see a reaction, from someone who listens to the full song without interrupting it, then speakig at the end, that is what you call courtesy for the song.
My son died from brain cancer 10 years ago. This song is cathartic for me. Fatherly grief from one Eric to another.
Such a tragedy. I used to work in the next building and I will never forget the sorrow. Excellent tribute to his beloved son. 😢
I lost my son about a year before this song came out it still rips my heart out every time I dont know how he done it

May he be flying high with the angels and be in heaven godwilling. May u meet him hereafter godwilling. 🙏
I'm still so sad for Eric, a man who has brought so much joy to the world through his music and has suffered so much tragedy...losing his son like this, loosing part of his band in the helicopter crash that killed Stevie Ray Vaughn, loosing friends through the years like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, John Lennon, George Harrison, etc.!!! So much tragedy!! This is still one of the best MTV Unplugged shows EVER!!
This song is one of the few songs a grown man can cry to without feeling less of a man. Any man that doesn't get teary eyed over such a song, are dead inside. I am man enough to say I cry every time I hear this song. Especially knowing the truth behind this song.

Mr to !
every time i hear this song it makes me want to cry
This was such a tragedy I do not understand why someone would give this song a thumbs down.
I am a combat veteran an old one. I have been kind of sad my whole life . then I start watching you and I seem to feel better. I beleave you have a good and pure heart. Thank you for this and God bless you
Hi, His son fell out of a flat (apartment) window and died. So he wrote this song for him. I love this song.
my brother passed away April 20th and i played this at his funeral it will always remind me of him
When you know the context, all you can do is cry, and we all know why, it bonds us together...
I have listened to this song from the time it came out, means more to me. My daughter has cancer at 29, l am 69 years old.
This subject matter of this song is SO damn sad. Gut wrenching!!!! Eric is such a talent.... I think losing a child is every parents worst nightmare!! Eric was SO strong thru this terrible event. Thank you girl for this review!!!!! Thank you lady again..............
This was the rehearsal version. The live version, in front of the audience, is just as powerful! Plus the camera pans to his duo backup singers! 😉
I'm not gonna lie. I'm a 43 y.o. dad and this song still brings me to my knees
One of the best written songs ever...
I can remember when that happened. Sad day.❤️❤️
Credit to Andy Fairweather Lowe on guitar too. A long way from “Bend me Shake Me” ! Beautiful song
He could go through it.Respect to him.He will definitely see him in Heaven.
Eric sure sounds English in this view when he is talking. After all of the hell he has been thru hell still sings well. His guitar work speaks for itself. They only made one Clapton!! This event would be soul crushing and could destroy many women & men's relationships. God it is wonderful......
Beautiful song. How heartbreakingly sad!
I love this song, so good, so emotional with a lovely message after such a tragedy. 🕯️
Hi Rebeka, he also wrote the beautiful and sad song Circus Left Town about the tragic death of his son and he performed it during this same unplugged performance (there's a couple videos of it on KZread).
It's a beautiful but tragically haunting song. I don't know how he managed to get through to the end of it. I couldn't if it had happened to any of my three children. Crying is the most appropriate reaction Rebekah.

He stopped performing this in his live shows some time ago.
I play guitar since I was 7 (I'm 32) and this guy is my one and only Guitar Hero. Since I saw him live with 12 years old, doing amazing and magical things with the guitar, I always wanted to play like he does. And creating such a beautiful and heartfelt song from his biggest tragedy...¡DAMN! Great song and great reaction, Becks 👏👏👏
Thank you for not interrupting the song. 👍
Can remember this all happening such a powerful song which always brings a tear to my eye
Andy doing a great job on 2nd guitar as usual
Classic song words cannot describe
Such a great song about such indescribable loss.
This such a sad song but more so for his little boy who fell out of that window
Soooo pleased you did this reaction to this song. Well you choose such brilliant songs to cover and likewise I can’t speak right now!

Thank you for sharing your vulnerable side. It is so relatable to our struggles in every day life.
My relation to Eric Clapton has always been personal. My aunt worked at Live Nations in the '70s. She worked as a host and greeted the bands, artists when they visited Stockholm on their tours. Among the artists, she showed around was Eric Clapton. I went to his concerts because of her. But I didn´t meet him in person. Even though I had the opportunity Yes, this song is heartbreaking when you know the background to it. But. There is another instrumental version of it that deserves listening to. And that is the bassist's Kanga Glyk´s of tears in heaven: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hWaFz9Z-fqnOYrw.html
Very touching song.

I have listened to this beautiful piece once and now twice to date whenever it comes on the air I deliberately choose Not to listen.only because of its heartbreaking meaning
Eric's spiritual development is best heard in the album Pilgrim
Heartfelt and emotional song ❤ ❤❤💖
Layla is another iconic song by Eric Clapton first released under his pseudonym of Derek and the Dominos because he wanted anonymity from his fame
Beka, This song is heartfelt and makes me cry... I have four children that I love dearly. They are grown now. This would crush most people... Do you have tissues in reach? I need one now. I must be strong! I can not phanthom the pain this would bring into your life.

He was so devistated when his son died
I cannot get past the first verse without crying.
I can't imagine the pain Eric must have gone through. You are entitled to pass on this one.
His son died tragically which inspired tis song he hurt terribly.
great song choice
Love this Song, Man it is a crying song!
I dont know how to stand to a tragedy like that
Eric has the courage of 100 men
Rebeka is beautiful!
WHENEVER ERIC PLAYS THIS LIVE, NOT A DRY EYE IN THE PLACE!!
Eric said he cried every day for 4 years for every day that Connor was on this earth. The day before the accident Eric said he finally realized what having a child was. He loved Connor and he loved playing with him whenever they saw each other but he just didn't get what a blessing it is to have a child until the day before the accident. He wanted Connor and his mother to come back to Germany with him and live and Connors mother agreed. So It was Connor's 4rth birthday plus him amd mommy were going to fly back to Germany with daddy and on top of that they were going to the carnival. So to say Connor was over the moon the day he died is an understatement.
The real song about the Clapton's son death is "Circus Left Town". Search it. So beatiful and so sad....
Reminds me of when I lost my brother in combat.
An absolutely heart wrenching song. I recall the video for the studio version, which included scenes from a film out at the time, was tacky and completely mismatched. This is therefore one occasion where I'm pleased to see a live version.

So sad but still remembered the "Please subscribe..." bit. Hmm.

It is tough to watch. So heartbreaking.
This is his profound and personal tragic song I think he recovered from such tragic personal loss...
Your best
Rebeka, if I might, I would like to recommend two more beautiful, but sad songs that will also tug at your heartstrings; they are “Monsters, by James Blunt and Concrete Angel, by Martina McBride. If you haven’t heard and reacted, to them; you might want to give one or both a listen. 😪
Sad
Have you listened to "No One But You" ? QUEEN'S tribute to Freddie.Brian,Roger and John in a touching video.
Love the reaction and your "Miley Cyrus" hair. 😀 Greetings from Norway.
