One of the finest (not to mention vital) guitar lessons out there, Marco! We fans of Marco's site should not only applaud your fantastic efforts but beg and support Marco Cirillo's site for more and reward Marco as well as ourselves with his wealth of pertinent guitar lessons. Great stand alone lesson of the blues!! Jim C.
Marco, you are so talented and I am so glad you are available. I’m still working on your Beginner Bluesy Melody in E minor Using Pentatonic Scale. I’ve working on getting the rhythm and the dynamics right. I’m learning to read music; I can figure out all the notes on the fretboard and I can figure out the names of the notes on a staff. I’m also doing the Spiderwalk. When I finally get the Beginner Bluesy Melody down, I’ll post a video. This one on Clapton is another great video. So glad you’re there!
Marco A very doable lesson , with lots of great nuances to spice up the 12 bar blues 💙 in the Clapton style...thank you Sir !
You captured a number of useful techniques and simplified them for learners like me. Well structured lesson punctuated with helpful examples!
I'm new to playing blues and appreciate this succinct overview. Very well done and appreciated.
with this video you make me pick up my guitar again after 3 weeks of not playing. Simple, with a bit of practise easy. Thank you!!
Really enjoyed this Marco...you are so right about understanding the subtleties of the blues...how simple and yet so rich and complex.

Thanks Marlette! That’s what I love about the blues. It can be as simple or as complex as you like. It’s all about the player’s choice! I am glad you enjoy the video! ☀️🎸
Amazing session Marco bro n as always butter smooth playing. Eric Clapton - one of my inspirations. He is a genius with magical hand on guitar. In fact I also believe the Blues genre is one of the most groovy genre one can ever play and also entertain the audience. I just forget everything n shake my body n get into the groove. 🤘🎸
Fantastic session Marco! very insightful and you're really hitting the groove
Great !!! More Blues. The lights went on in my head when you should the first part of the blues secrets. Excellent !!
Love ❤️ Clapton and the blues…would love to continue to see plenty of this type of lessons from you…glad to have found you 🎸🎶
Really enjoyed!!! It's a master class of "simple" Blues... perfect
Agree it's only about the song and the music for Clapton - something all those shredders out there could learn from. Absolutely brilliant and succinct lesson!
Great video, thank you! I’m about eighteen months into my guitar playing and I love the blues. So many different styles but it’s still the blues in some form. I have the shuffle down, and just yesterday was wondering what more I could do with it. I’ll be working on this today. Subscribed!
Coool!! Happy Easter!
Bravo Marco. Grazie per le tue lezioni.
This was a good look into the style of Clapton. Thank you
Awesome video and tx for sharing. Hunted around for a good breakdown of this and you've covered it. Great stuff
Pure gold this, thank you!
nice video. i think you should do a whole video along the same lines of this blues video on how to mix the blues shuffel with licks and fills from the E minor pentatonic scale
I love Erlc Clapton blues. I am always learning how to play in his style. I'm not creative enough to come up with my own licks so i steal his. He is the king!!!

steal is good enough man! thats what lots of great guitarrists do, steal and put their own spice there!

Nice vid. 4 beginners perfect i did know all that already but the 2nd part with the open strings Was new to me thanks hehe
I'm glad you put fret markers on your beautiful guitar. I was fixin' to scold you about that after watching one of your older videos.
Very nice! I guess I'll have to figure out the turn around! Happy Easter.
Loved this lesson, please make more videos on blues

Oh. The 4239 lesson of a simple blues. I'm sleeping.

As always... amazing video, bro! You are top quality person, really. By the way, could you please do some videos about middle eastern/arabian scales/music played on guitar?
Good stuff Marco
Thank you Marco 👏🐇🐰👏
Thank you ❤️🤤
Hola Amigo, yes great job. The number one thing is to engage, entertain and enthrall your audience. Great lesson why your favorite is the guitar fills are dynamics. Beatles, ELO, Queen, EC and Tommy Emmanuel all use captivating dynamics. Some would say gimmicks, no, interesting, yes
more blues please. That was very well done

O love It.
Please do some Yngwie Malmsteen Acoustic Riffs
It was really fun. I really now believe that Clapton is reincarnation of sir Robert Johnson.
Hello Marco, on this tutorial you are playing an Eko guitar (I think it's the serie 6 Massimo Varini signature). I like the sound. Is that your personal guitar and what do you think about this guitar. Thanks for the response
Is the patreon a tab of the whole song or a tab of these youtube bits?
😎Thanks🍎
Great
Very nice video. Thank you so much. However, as I am completely new to Blues and don't know Clapton at all, I'd like to know: 1. Is this just Clapton style or did Clapton really have a Blues like this? 2. Where can I find Clapton's original? What's the name of his original song? Any hints are very welcome! 🤗😊💁♂️

I got the concept but it would be nicer to go deeper about the way the two scales are used together for those who are less experts. I would suggest you to create videos that are more structured where you reference other (more basic or more complex) videos . This kind of referencing system could increase the curiosity of the viewer and increase the view count. For example in this video you could have referenced videos about the blues/pentatonic scales and how to use them. At some point you could just create a shared google sheet/doc with all the relations between videos that could function as a map for the viewer. Just share it (read only) and add it in the video description and that should simplify keeping the references updated.
Curious Marco, will there someday be a lesson on fingernails, fingerpicks?
Which guitar plectrum did you used
Why notated in 12/8 measure? This is a shuffled 4/4 isn't it? "Shuffled" is 4 triplets (4 x 3 = 12) with middle note not played.
great teacher!
Could I play that Blues in electric guitar?
❤️❤️
You're a great player; a teacher not so much.
There are so many fretboard gymnasts showing their skills on utube. Really boring. This however, was very nice, and easy to follow.

Correct! They are not 7th chords But I was referring to the blues structure rather than the actual chords I am playing. Its my fault. I should have mentioned that in the video. The chords I am playing are E5 and A5 (a power chord) but we also bring the 5th up to the major 6th.

no imitating going on, Marco does excellent Uke lessons also
It's my opinion that Eric Clapton plays acoustic guitar just like Freddie King. Just my opinion.
If there were two unknown guitarists playing at the same venue and one had Clapton's ability, the other had Marco's ability..... Marco would be the favourite, no question. This is from a guitarist of 47 years. 👍😎

Re-uploaded.... Huh But why Marco.. why...?? What's the issue???
Not a fan of even a legend who doesn't use their pinky finger?
Clapton sucks with no personality in his later refined playing
Play guitar, don’t talk Too much bla-bla
