The Turmer people would've never allowed a character like Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Based on what? Why wouldn't they?
Bischoff didn't fire Stone Cold Steve Austin, he fired Stunning Steve Austin
Wcw let triple h, steve austin, the undertaker, kevin nash, scott hall go and watched them become stars in the wwf. Sure some came back, but damn ...shame on you wcw .
The best thing that ever happened that ever happened to Steve Austin was getting fired from WCW. They call Eric Bischoff stupid for it but the truth was he was never gonna come up with Stone Cold while in WCW. To do that he had to develop the character and his promo skills which he did in ECW and then watch Bruce willas in pulp fiction and a HBO documentary the rest is history

@c.s3369 with all the big names they were bringing in it was hard to stand out.
Bischoff is right about HHH.

Extracting the wife part, you cat apply this description to anyone. Best example - Undertaker. Never could touch the popularity of Austin. Not even close. So, does that means Ole Anderson was right?
HHH has always been the guy standing next to "The Guy".
Even by 95 "Stunning" ran its course. He went as far as he could as that character. He had to be let go. Then, he reunited with Paul Heyman. The rest is history.
Triple H never been a John Cena? When I grew up he was in the top. He was on the cover of the video games. He made me love wrestling. Him and Shaun Michaels D-Generation X.
Bischoff is still bitter that Triple H did a lot without WCW. Paul Levesque was not allowed to reach his peak in WCW.

People don't like the other side of the story. Eric put em on dead mouth

Because this topic has been brought up over and over again. Nothing new.
Bischoff should have made the call himself
Eric was entirely in the right. Austin deserved to be fired.
And that's the bottom line
Love how Bischoff called out Triple H as being a solid midcarder who only got to where he is because of Stephanie.

I didn’t. Triple H was a top contender.
