Young King It does, to some. I least I do. I know there's a lot of young dudes that don't care about listening to the classics but I think that's the most important thing to do.

twelve kyle it's really important. A couple months ago this album was "meh" to me but it grew on me A LOT. I started to appreciate the impact of this album and Eric B and Rakim.

It's always interesting to hear you elaborate on your opinions on this solo channel. I feel like you don't get a lot of screen time on dehh(everyone on there is great. you're just the one i relate to the most. this isn't a complaint.). i appreciate everything you have to say whether i agree with it or not. Keep up the great work, guy.

This is the album that made me "get" hip hop. Mind you this was in the 2000s and the only reason I heard it was my mum got it for my dad on his birthday. Without this album I, personally, probably wouldn't be here watching your vids and stuff.

such a great breakdown as to why this is considered a classic album. i'm 23 and have listened to Paid In Full because i knew it was considered a classic but it's nice to hear the actual breakdown of what it did for the genre of hip hop, especially since that era was before i was born

Fantastic series Beezy and I love how you get us to vote for the next classic review! I'm hoping Redman gets a choice soon, particularly whut or dare iz a darkside just because they were so funky and unique with Redman's crazy style and the green eyed bandit's production.

i'm not sure what was the theory behind this, but IIRC it was either that Marley Marl was the person who handled the production on this LP entirely, or he did some joints that Eric B took credit for. there's a video on Dubspot where he recreates the "Eric B is President" beat in Ableton, which funnily enough sounds a lot like what Marley did in the 80s, so I wouldn't be surprised if this would be true

Corey Brown it was recorded at his home studio but Eric B always got the credit for producing. Unless a NYC cat that was there during the making of it says something different.

From what I've heard and read in interviews, Rakim himself and Marley Marl did most of the production. And I'm not sure but I think Rakim did the scratches on there too, Eric just fronted for the videos.
