Thank you for the tips, I applied and I got a conditional acceptance to proceed, I was told to accept some conditions and move on to applying for the scholarship- I have no idea what all these still means but I'm eager and I hope to get this.

If you know how frustrated I have been, looking for someone who will give me detailed info on how this EMJM scholarship works. Honestly, I have searched a lot of websites and no one seems to be giving me the information I want. Plus, I was also confused looking for courses to apply for via the Erasmus Mundus official website. So so glad I found your video, it's such an eye-opener. Thank you once again for putting the link to find the programs/courses of our choice.

Thank you for sharing about this! I just wanted to ask a few questions. When the university accepts your application to study, does it immediately come with the scholarship or they take additional time to decide to give you the scholarship? For the travel allowance, do you get it when you are still in your home country so you can pay for your flight fares or they reimburse it to you when you arrive and settle down in your first country?

Great video. Has a lot of useful information but I just want to point out that not all programs are taught in English, you might need to learn French or Spanish or any other language spoken in European countries and provide a language proficiency test if the university requires

Unfortunately, they won’t be giving that separately anymore. The monthly stipend of €1400 is expected to cover this too.

You’re welcome! I am not sure about when this is but it should be on or before February 2023. Kindly note that this is now a self-funded program as Erasmus scholarships are not available for the 2023 Intake.

Hello, thank you for the information. Please my publication is not related to my intended program for the EMJM. This is because my undergrad thesis was in the area of expertise of my supervisor and not in my area of interest. Can I still add is as part of my application for the next round of EMJM cycle. Good day. I didn’t have any publication and I don’t think this holds as much water as you may think it does. You can add it or not but, in my opinion, there are more important things like your motivation letter and reference letters, for example. I don’t think your undergraduate thesis hinders you per se. Highlight other areas that make you a great candidate for the scholarship.

Desire, there is a question I have been dying to ask you. Does the new reforms cover my airfare to Europe?

Hi Anita. Tuition costs €4500 per year. School wise, that’s all you pay. You’d have to then consider how much for rent (average of €250-370 depending on where you get it and the country you choose in the second year) and general upkeep, as well as travel expenses and health insurance. Because this differs between individuals, I can’t give a solid figure but overall the €1000 scholarship we were given is enough for average living, in my experience.

Hi! Thank you for watching. 😊 You can apply to as many programs as possible. Interviews are quite specific to the programs so you can check their website for more information. However, they often ask questions relating to your motivation letter, goals, why you chose the program, etc Hope this helps!

Hi Barokah! This also depends on the program. However, generally, if you can show your passion and/ or work experience in your new chosen field, that would definitely boost your application. Some people have been able to do so with these- also taking online courses/ certifications help. Overall, you can definitely transition to a new field with the EMJMs. It is possible. Hi. You’re welcome! No, they don’t. They already give you a full time scholarship and monthly allowance. They used to give a travel allowance but since they increased the monthly stipend, they removed that portion of the scholarship. About when they give you the money, it depends on your program but mine gave us at the end of October.

Ohh, Erasmus looks beyond the academic degree too, so you can definitely apply. Do try to boost your application with other endeavours, your passion and possible work experience. You don’t particularly need the Honors, to be honest. I wish you the best!

Previously, you were only allowed to apply to 3 programs. However, they changed the rules recently and you can mostly apply to as many programs as you’d like.

If I well understood what you said, it’s not necessary for us go back to our home country after the scholarship otherwise we are going to lose that ? 12:55

Oh no, that’s not what I said. You don’t have to go back to your country after your program. No penalty. What I was referring to was if you leave the EU for your internship during your program, you don’t get paid or get paid 1/2 of the scholarship.

Hi Uti! Honestly, this is so personal but I’d say around at least 1 - 1.5 million for flight, visa application and first month of settling in till you get your scholarship payment.

Hello! Thank you for watching. As long as you have officially finished your degree within the specified time on the program’s website, yes you can apply. However, if you do get the scholarship, you’d need the degree to process your admission into the program fully, even if it’s an E-copy, so do bear that in mind.
