Minelab Equinox 900 in the ocean all day. Underwater for hours. You must wash off the salt and sand. Use fresh tap water.

Thank you for showing your equinox 900 settings. I’ve been using the 900 for several months and I’m getting pretty good at it but I need to try new settings so I’m gonna try yours once again thank you and I’ll be following you. Mike G

Hey mate.. I totally can't agree with you more about washing your equipment off.. but I got to tell you you missed one of the most important parts to clean. the coil and cover. all that sand that's is sitting between your coil and your coil cover is mineralized material and if you take that mineralized material with you to the next hunt it's going to throw off your machine because you're searching in a different location with a different mineralized sand . Good luck good hunting 🏴‍☠️

So true 🙂👍 a best practice where this is an issue. Minelab manual says to do it every time. but on the pure white powder sands of the Gulf of Mexico found from Pensacola to Fort Myers there is no mineralization. Its pure Quartz SiO2 from the erosion of the Appalachian mountains. ( yes, I am a professional geologist 😁 ) I generally clean under the coil cover about once a month. Note, the neutral white sand yields incredible depth on any Equinox. Best of luck to you! 🍀
